Friendly Staff and Tasty Ribs in Porto
We were craving ribs so we made a reservation the day before. Good thing we did, because this small and charming place was completely full when we arrived. The food was delicious and the sangria was great. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. It seemed like only two people were working, and they worked so hard to keep everything running smoothly. This place is truly a hidden gem!
The ribs are good not sure about the negative reviews
Was trying to find something different as much of the food in Porto is the same. Read the mixed reviews on this place and figured I'd give it a try. The staff are very friendly and nice and even though the place was very full and they had people with reservations coming in we were able to get a table. We started with a pitcher of the house sangria. I watched him make and there was a lot of alcohol on it so no complaints there. For a stater we got the wings and the pork rib meat croquets. The croquets were excellent just watch for cartilage as it is rib meat The wings were disappointing. Very fatty and not a lot of meat. I like wings to be very crispy. I usually smoke mine and then air fry them to finish. For ribs we got the black pig ribs since that is not something I get at home. I overheard the owner recommending the regular ribs so I'll need to go back and try them. The black big ribs are unusually long and not a ton of meat on them but really good. I think we got 5 large ribs and a rib end. Was more than enough for the two of us. We also got the chips with cheese sauce and bacon which were very tasty. I was hoping for piri piri chicken but they don't have it. I guess it's good they focus on ribs..and beef. We also got a puff pastry dessert with peanuts. There were a lot of people waiting outside to get in so when he brought the dessert I told him he could bring the check to speed up things. I appreciate that he said no enjoy your dessert and I'll bring it after. So overall a very good experience that I would recommend. It's a very small and busy place and he seems to be handling it well.
Black pork ribs not that great.
Our food was mediocre. We had the black pork ribs. The regular pork ribs looked better. Staff was friendly and efficient and prices were reasonable.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to The Ribs Porto at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the The Ribs Porto page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* DistinguishedTree58, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* DistinguishedTree58 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to DistinguishedTree58 for any questions Peter may have as DistinguishedTree58 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* DistinguishedTree58 now uses their connections at The Ribs Porto to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If DistinguishedTree58 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.

* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at The Ribs Porto!
