TIP: Use the Food Birmingham card for BOGOF main meals from the a la carte. Not usable on buffet.A bit out of the way, but really not too far from Bearwood High Street, the restaurant has parking available which is plus. Quite large inside, it has that knick-knack-y Chinese style with big decorated screens, ibis statues and elaborate lights. Staff (we were greeted by the owner I think) were really friendly. There's an a la carte menu, but we went for the very reasonably priced buffet menu- you can order 5 dishes at a time for each course (to avoid wastage) but it's all you can eat. Food arrived as it was ready so seemed very fresh. My partner said that the crispy shredded beef was the best he's had in a long time (and not suggesting anything, but he's got experience...). We also had the lemon chicken, noodles with beansprouts, egg fried rice and the stir-fried three delicious. All seemed really good quality, and amazing value for money. It's not a fancy place and seems a bit old fashioned but I can't fault anything else. Except the wine- by the glass you can only get the house wine. The merlot wasn't offensive only in that it barely tasted of anything at all. Stick to the Tsingtao beer maybe!
