😒 3/5 - Came in for a soccer tournament recently and was surprised

Came in for a soccer tournament recently and was surprised with the low quality of the rooms for a hefty price (close to $300/night maybe because it was soccer weekend or several other big events/overly-hyped holiday). The rooms are as basic as a motel and the beds are fair at best. While the bathrooms were clearly upgraded, the wood-look laminate floors were not glued down properly, so they were raising above the base floor (concrete?) & when we walked into the bathroom, the floors made noise and rose and fell with our feet - it was weird and felt very cheap even though you could see they were new-"erishly" remodeled. The hotel itself is fine - 100% Vegas with the casino as the highlight and it must be fairly popular because it was pretty well populated no matter when we came in or went out. Everything seemed nice as far as appearances go. Most of the staff that we ran into were lovely and kind.Unfortunately, we had to go in and out a lot and what was pretty awful was the parking situation. You had to walk out of the casino section of the hotel to a pretty filthy parking lot with attached elevators with filthy floors and an environment you in which you don't want to lean on or touch anything in. I wasn't 100% happy leaving a nicer rental car with all the signs telling you to remove everything and scaring the hell out of you and making you feel as if you're likely to get broken into. The other unfortunate thing for the Strat is that there are some real dilapidated and vacant, low budget apartments directly across from where you pull in and out of the parking area. Would be great to see the Strat rehab them into work force housing or something; but they're just sitting there looking scary with chain-link fences around them & shady characters hanging around them. Weird.I won't stay here again, unfortunately.
