This was our only sit down restaurant experience at Universal Orlando, but we thought it was great. The food was really good and the theming was cool. The characters came around and talked with our daughter and were so friendly. Very glad we were recommended this place by a family member.

Visited Toothsome on my first day at the Universal Orlando stay. Saw all the good reviews on yelp and made the reservation weeks in advance. Once we arrived, we checked in with the staff that was located at the front of the restaurant entrance. We had to wait around 5-10mins before being seated. For appetizers we ordered the chocolate bread which was delicious and the truffle fries! The fries came out stale but they remade it when we brought it to our servers attention. The bread came with a salt caramel butter which paired perfectly with the bread. For entrees we got the burger and chicken bercy. The chocolate martini was sweet but really good. We decided not to order dessert and grabbed sweet treats from their candy store. All the food was super delicious and we got to meet the robot and grab some cute pictures. From their candy store we got the box of macaroons that we ate by the pool in our hotel. They are probably one of the best macaroons that we've had. Overall, everything was super delicious and had a chocolate twist to it. We enjoyed everything and hope to come back again on our next visit to Universal.

I work in the medical field and have numerous allergies to food. My experience at this restaurant was nothing short of greatness. From our lovely waitress Farrah to the amazing manager Micha- who is also there part-time chef, I was immediately at ease. They handled all of my dietary restrictions without flinching- it is honestly the first time I felt so comfortable in a restaurant in a long time. All I can continue to say is thank you for excellent customer service, tasty food and the sweet atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplyThis place was a stop on my stroll down CityWalk.
It offers a nostalgic culinary experience reminiscent of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. The shakes, similar to those from Surreal Creamery in New Brunswick, NJ, are a standout feature, boasting rich flavors and utter decadence. Overall, it's a must-visit for those seeking a simple yet enjoyable indulgence.

The outside looks like something out of Charlie and the Chocolate factory but once you get in - it has a steam punk vibe to the ambiance. The characters walking around and engaging people were interesting and fun. Service was fantastic and the menu was very interesting. My Old Chocolate Fashion was amazing! I usually like my OF very classic but this chocolate one really was unique but still tasted like a true OF. Food was okay, we enjoyed the appetizers more than the mains...but people come here for the milkshake and desserts. The milkshakes looked amazing but it was just okay, one major complaint was it was not thick enough. The extra dessert topping was instagram worthy - but it was just okay. Even the truffles and cookies were just okay. Overall the meal offered good value. I was pleasantly surprised when the bill was brought over because it was less than I expected. We ate out a lot and during our week here in Orlando and IMO Universal offers better food and value than inside of Disney. Recommendation is go for the cocktails, appetizers, the sundaes and desserts. It's really and 3.5/5

The non sweet food was great and the service was great, we were not rushed at all and got our food pretty fast. The decor and ambiance looked great and very fancy.

This place remains my all-time favorite restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyWent for shakes.
All we had were amazing. One of the kids got a sundae which was bigger than the shakes!

The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium is indeed regarded as a masterpiece by many visitors, blending the magic of a traditional chocolate factory with the innovative flair of a full-service restaurant. It's a wonderful addition to the entertainment and dining options available, particularly for those looking for a unique experience. The whimsical, steampunk-inspired décor and the vast selection of chocolate treats and desserts truly bring out the inner child in everyone, making it an ideal spot for both kids and adults. The menu extends beyond sweets, offering a variety of savory dishes that cater to different tastes, ensuring that there's something for every member of the family. Its immersive atmosphere and diverse menu make it a must-visit destination for those seeking fun and indulgence in a family-friendly environment.
Be the first to ReplyI would give Toothsome a solid 3 star.
The food/entrees are really average (3 stars). What really shines here are the mini cookie dough balls and trademark milkshakes (4.5+ stars). However, the beautiful pieces of fudge (2 stars) was way too sweet for my liking, and it was unfortunate because I did the "buy two and get one free" deal. I ended up taking a small bite out of each one, and throwing it away afterwards out of fear of an immediate instantaneous onset of Diabetes. It was literally like I was trying to swallow pure sugar with chocolate. Needless to say, it wasn't pleasant...especially since it wasn't a cheap expense to throw away all that fudge :(I would return for the signature milkshakes or mini cookie dough balls, though! The key lime milkshake and chocolate x5 was to die for.

Made a reservation the day prior, arrived and got our table within 5 minutes. Service by Gizmo was excellent. Had French onion soup, Caesar salad with good shrimp, quiche. Desserts of chocolate pie and confetti cake/milkshake. Great, fun experience.

The pictures hype this place up but the milkshakes are entirely overbearing and out of all the food i tried with my family of 12 only the meatloaf in my opinion was edible. The candy shop is nice but i will never be back for food. The wait staff was great though
Be the first to ReplyThe best thing about this restaurant is the outdoor heaters.
The highly-recommended chicken bercy was terrible! The chicken was bland and extremely dry. The mashed potatoes tasted like they came out of a box. The milkshakes were not worth the $16--ours were really soupy and more like chocolate milk than a chocolate shake.

We got the sliders with the red velvet milkshake really good portion size combined which is very good. And both were absolutely amazing to eat. The server was nice and brought out or food quick but forgot our milkshakes until after we were done our food (the only reason this is a 4) and the ambience was nice because of the nice video in the background and the way you can watch the cooks make the milkshakes.
Be the first to ReplyGood ambiance, terrible service and food.
It took them a whole hour to bring the food out. Everything came out cold. A typical touristy place with high prices and low food quality.
Be the first to ReplyFood was wonderful.
Drinks and desert were fabulous! Not picture was the chicken blt and filet mignon... we went for the desert but were very pleasantly surprised by the entrees as well.
Be the first to ReplyIf you want to eat here, make a reservation in advance.
The steam punk vibe is definitely unique, and the added characters make it a fun, interactive environment for the entire family. Our food was delicious and prompt. The staff was friendly and informative. We really enjoyed the storefront. If you have a sweet tooth, this is a must on your places to visit. There are tons of variety and a great place to get tasty "souvenirs" that your friends and family will enjoy. The only thing is the massive lines. More checkout areas would be great.

Ate at the bar with my boyfriend upstairs and had an extremely pleasant experience and the food was ready very fast. Had the almond chocolate bread which was fantastic and a burger to die for.

I'll spare you super fine details here, it's a theme park spot and there's a million reviews. But. The best thing I can offer you is to save yourself from standard menu fare and just get either apps or something you can split, and then get each of you a delightfully overflowing speciality milkshake. I mean, that's why you're there, right? The flatbreads are perfect for sharing. Also delicious, their Toothsome Niçoise salad. Left field, I know, but if you enjoy tuna, it's an absolute delight and enough for two.
Be the first to ReplyUghhhhhhhh.
.. Food bad, service bad, nothing good. Just avoid this place at all costs. On top of everything being subpar at best, there is a creepy fake robot guy that comes around to each table to bother you with stupid questions.
Be the first to ReplyThe building is obviously breathtaking.
It is a giant industrial factory that is detailed to look like a chick tale factory and it is perfect. The shop inside has really cool food, and objects themed after the industrial revolution. The food is pretty good but very sweet. Y oh need a sweet tooth and a big stomach to eat here. The portions are very very large and especially with visitors not from america this may be pretty overwhelming. The food is either a hit or a miss some of it is great some of it is...for lack of better words...rancid. I really like most foods but sometimes the chocolate combinations don't work.I would recommend you go for the experience and the pretty good food.
Be the first to ReplyIt was ok, but nothing was outstanding.
It's a good experience for kids. Make a reservation in advance of going.

Came here on my first time visit to Orlando and all the amusement parks. It was me and 3 friends, we didn't make reservations ahead of time but walked in and got seated within 20 min. The service was great, very attentive with keeping our drinks full and coming back to check on us. The food was amazing, we all had no complaints. Pictured is the tuna melt with truffle fries, and bread pudding dessert. All in all it was amazing and can't wait to come back to eat here. :)

Not too bad, this is an oasis at the park scene and has legit options the dirt Good service, busy place Priced adequate to location, this a resort so it's not for everyone but you will spend that much on a hot dog and a burger in any Stand here anyway so go and take a seat and enjoy the ambiance Food options a re so so but food is good quality Desert and chocolate is their theme so don't be surprised One observation no coffee!, what is that about I feel like a missed opportunity here but regardless the shakes are legit, had the chocolate mousse because I felt like they should be par for the course, unfortunately I was disappointed, can't win them all don't regret it's better than most places here at the park so take a break and enjoy some good food and drinks you won't regret
