The View Hotel Oljato-Monument Valley Reviews
no choice other than this hotel....
People obviously stay at this hotel for the astonishing view โ and because thereโs really no other hotel nearby. The room itself is comfortable and clean, but everything else is quite average. I donโt recommend having dinner at the hotel rest
I guess overwhelmed by our request?
Visited the View Hotel after our 3 hour tour of Monument Valley which was great! The View hotel has a great gift shop and I thought a great restaurant. We were hungry and liked the menu and wanted to have dinner. Unfortunately only View hotel gues

3.5 stars. A mixed experience but I would, in fact, stay here again. The positives: - This is the only hotel that is immediately adjacent to the most iconic rock formations that make Monument Valley famous. The view from our balcony was a giant p
The name says it all
As far as we are concerned there is no other choice if traveling to Monument Valley. The name says it all!! The staff was very accommodating and friendly, and the facility was spotless! The food was pretty good too. It may seem pricey to some but we
Great location and outlook from the room, though a bit pricy and poor service levels.
Great location and outlook from the room, though a bit pricy and poor service levels. Comments: Great location and outlook from the room, though a bit pricy and the staff and service levels are significantly below what they should be for the price
3 star hotel with a 5 star view
This is a 3-star hotel with a 5-star view. Rooms are basic in size and amenities, but the terrace with the view is incredible. We enjoyed wine and cheese at sunset (bring your own as this is a dry hotel) and the stars at night and sunrise on the bal
Pricey but worth the views
This is the one hotel inside the park, and I'd recommend it for two reasons: full moons and sunrises. The rooms offer incomparable views of The Mittens and Merrick Butte. Despite the name, the 'obstructed view' room on the 2nd floor
411 on The View
We had heard that the only place to stay in the park was The View. I read other reviews as we arrived and were they ever wrong-the view of course is second to none; the staff especially Kasie, Naima, and Marcy were so friendly and accommodating; and
Highlight of our vacation!
One of the highlights of our southwest vacation. The from our balcony was absolutely majestic. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was good/not great but what I expected. The free breakfast was probably the only disappoin
Worth the splurge when visiting Monument Valley
If you're going to visit Monument Valley, splurge a little. Stay here where you're actually IN the park and get a room that overlooks Monument Valley. You'll see unbelievable views of the many red-rock mittens and buttes at sunrise, su
The "View" is the best hing about here
While our room was nice and had a comfy bed/pilows and everying was clean. Apart from the reception staff, everyone elso looked misearable. The breakfast is like a construction workers canteen, very basic breakfast and plastic cutlery and paper plate
Gorgeous Hotel
Spectacular hotel (be sure to get view side). Gorgeous architecture, even in gift shop where windows are like paintings. Very comfortable. Good service. I loved the old Goulding's Lodge but you should probably choose the View if affordable.
Spectacular sunrise!
Our visit to Monument Valley was very special. It has been on our bucket list for years to stay at The View Hotel for a sunset and sunrise experience. We splurged for our room and was not disappointed. On this trip we didnโt drive through the pa
ROOM VIEWS ARE SPECTACULAR!
When we decided to take a Southwest Road Trip Monument Valley was at the top of the list. We booked a one night stay at The View. which is the only hotel located at Monument Valley. All rooms face East for maximum sunrise views. Our 2nd Floor Prem
Terrible service, poor facilities, zero value for price
Overpriced hotel with shockingly poor, motel-level service. I arrived around 11pm to find no one at the front desk. After calling the listed number five times, an employee finally appearedโexpressionless, as if I had disturbed his sleep. The next
2 star hotel at 5 star prices
Ok so the view is amazing and the room is fine - but come on, for the price you charge the very least you could do is serve a reasonable breakfast with drinkable coffee and orange juice (vile watered down offering). Toasters that donโt toast, cheap
Don't stay anywhere else
My family loved every moment here. Our rooms were clean and well-appointed. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Driving through Monument Valley was magnificent. When they say 'view' they mean it. Opening my eyes in the morning to see the sunr
Not worth the hype
We stayed at The view hotel one night, and I should say, thank God it was only one night. As we arrived at the reception, the attitude of the staff was very disappointing. At the front office they were rude and unfriendly. The room was okay and the v
The place to be
This hotel is the place to be for both sunset and sunrise in Monument Valley. There is a restaurant, a souvenir store and a small museum adjacent to the hotel. I'm very happy that we were able to stay here during our visit to Monument Valley.
The location.
.. the view from one of these cabins left us speechless. A must see, a must do. Cabins however are tiny, beds are short. The bunk beds are too short for an adult and the AC barely reaches this area. The food at the View Hotel is absolutely disgusting
Staff changes booking upon arrival: โYou can take it or leave !โ Nice view, but think twice before you book this one.
Upon arrival we did not receive the booked premium view room, although this room was confirmed by the hotel services already months earlier. Without explanation we were given a double room close to the reception with partial obstructed view. When w
The Good - Can't beat the scenery.
Room was dated but in good order. Clean. The Bad and the Ugly - The food is just awful. A bad cafeteria at best. I'm being kind here.
Not worth the money.
The food was horrible and the people working at the hotel were not helpful and certainly did not act like they cared about your experience. The beautiful views were the only thing that was nice about the hotel. Without that I would have given no st
Horrible cancellation and check-in age policies.
Don't stay here unless you want to get scammed out of money, you're only paying for the view from the room.
Milking the monuments out .
Period. They changed our reservation with no notice, dowgarded from 3rd floor to 2nd floor. Receptionist said thay kind of room did not exist anymore as owner decided all rooms on 3rd floor would have a King bed only. Stragely the website stull show

The hotel and restaurant could be 1st class--but in fact it is 2nd class at best, yet you are being charged 1st class rates for lodging and food. It starts with your arrival at the main gate where you are charged $8.00 US per person (no cash, credit

Staying at The View is worth it for the comfort and ease of watching sunrise and sunset over Monument Valley from your own balcony. There really is no other alternative hotel and the valley probably only needs to be visited once, so you might as wel
I really recommend staying here if you are coming to
I really recommend staying here if you are coming to Monument Valley - it may cost a bit more, but your entire experience is augmented by being able to watch sunset eating the restaurant (Chicken Quesadilla was great!), watching the stars from the a

They are NOT very understanding when someone has to cancel due to a medical situation (expected recover time 14 weeks). Apparently there is no exception when it comes to the cancellation policy. Yes I was charged a fee for a reservation two months

Each posting on AppointmentTrader shows you which user submitted it and along with that provides a trackrecord of that user which indicates how much experience
the user has and how many percent of their transactions resulted in them issuing a refund.
If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.
Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to The View Hotel Oljato-Monument Valley at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the The View Hotel Oljato-Monument Valley page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* ๐ฆ @EternalAnt36, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* ๐ฆ @EternalAnt36 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to ๐ฆ @EternalAnt36 for any questions Peter may have as ๐ฆ @EternalAnt36 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* ๐ฆ @EternalAnt36 now uses their connections at The View Hotel Oljato-Monument Valley to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If ๐ฆ @EternalAnt36 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, ๐ฆ @EternalAnt36 receives the $200 reward which is credited to ๐ฆ @EternalAnt36's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at The View Hotel Oljato-Monument Valley!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
