I have so many great memories here with family, friends, co-workers that every time I hear the name or walk by I just have to smile. In between 63rd and 64th on Third Ave in the upper east side it's been a staple in the neighborhood for years. TBH... i'm not a fan of family style eating, but I always make an exception for the food here. This is true New York, authentic Italian food. It's your basic homemade red sauce with unmistakable flavors and served to you with warm hospitality. I've never had a bad meal here. Meatballs -are some of the best I've had. I make my own and grew up with a lot of Italian influence... and these are good. Veal and Chicken Parm are always my go to here. The sauce makes the dish. And it so tender. Baked clams are exceptional. No one in the city comes close. Portions are big, they're meant to be shared. Prices are so reasonable. Bring good friends, family, or both. Drink some wine, be prepared to have good food, good service and just a really nice time. I've been going to Tony's since they opened in the 90's.
