Feeling on 'Top of the World' in Singapore 🥰
Authentic, good n reasonably priced local food, desserts n drinks 👍👍👍 Must go for the Chicken rice, Nasi Bryani, roti prata, dosa, fried hokien mee, laksa, fried kway teow, noodle soup n dried noodle topped with wonton, ground pork, shrimp, fried fish etc.,.. Like the local bustling of hawker centres 🥰

Must be one of the biggest food centres in Singapore. There are over 100 outlets on three rows. Lots to see, smell and deliberate over what to try. Not as clean and bright as some other centres, sometimes gets crowded, but there is still plenty of seating on the peripheries. The choice of food will overwhelm you. Good luck

The famous place for local food varieties & good food has lost its shine. Gone are the days where people will queue for good local food here. The taste & quality of food is disappointing.
Be the first to ReplyLittering at some obvious area
Singapore government has been restricted of littering issue since few years ago. But we still encountered some uncivilised people who did littering at that area of dining tables with rubbish.

This was definitely in our top 3 hawker halls for this trip. There is SO much choice and we had some of the yummiest food of all here. The chicken wings and the Char kway teow are LIT. If you are a tourist wanting an authentic hawker experience with delish food this is the place to be. If you struggle with making decisions when it comes to what you want to eat go somewhere else cause this place has options for DAYS.
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely one of the best hawker center in Singapore
Old Airport Road Hawker / Food Center has so many selections of very good hawker foods, make it a must visit when you’re in Singapore. There are so many delicious foods here so you can come here every week if you want. Some of my favorites are Toa Payoh Rojak, Nyonya Chendol, Roast Paradise, Fish Soup, Char Kway Teow and many others… to avoid long queue at some favorite stalls try coming before or after lunch time (11 am or 1:30 or 2 pm)….
Be the first to ReplyAbundance of choices
This hawker centre is huge with plenty of choices. The satay @ Road Payoh Satay stall is the best but be prepared for long wait. The only thing I disliked is the hygiene. Not exactly the cleanest place.

Lots of good local food here. However with the good food comes long queue. You can just follow the queue to know which is the good ones. During meal times, the moderate queues are about 30 minutes before you get to order.

Toa Payoh Rojak, Dong Ji Fried Kway Teow, xin mei xia lor mee, tiong bahru lor mee, Whitley road prawn noodle, Nam Sing Hokkien noodle, To-Ricos Guo Shi or Kway Chap, Hua Kee Hougang Famous Wanton Noodle, Crocodile Kingdom (for exotic and asthma healing), Yi Ji Fried Hokkien Noodle (Spicy). Top ten stores from my point of view. Everyone will have a different take.

Easy to arrive via public transport, this is one of the liveliest hawker markets we visited!
There is an extremely wide variety of food choices from Italian pasta dishes, a classic English breakfast and Michelin starred Singaporean delicacies.
The one thing I absolutely must recommend tasting is the Coffee Pau (Bao) from one of the first stalls you may see upon entry!
Great variety of food
Large variety of food here, including
- 2 famous Wan Ton Mee (Cho Kee and Hua Kee) in the firrst row facing main road,
- 2 nice Chendol stalls @$2 per bowl
- Toast Hut, which sells great bread and tea, coffee (till lunchtime)
The challenge lies in finding a table, especially during weekends and peak times.
One of the best Hawkers Center in Singapore
This hawkers center is located at Old Airport road in Paya Lebar area. It does have so many varieties of foods and dishes, some of them are really good such as Nonya Chendol, Toa Payoh Rojak and many others - those stalls are one of the best hawkers in Singapore.
Ambience is very basic, and usually very crowded. Be prepared for a long queue for the favorite stalls.
It’s truly worth the visit for food lovers while in Singapore.
Something for everyone
Wide variety of food can be found here, something for everyone. Recommended to go early, not a supper spot. Love the hokkien mee and western food!
Be the first to ReplyLao Fu Zi Char Kway Teow
OAR Hawker has quite a few popular stalls with long Qs most of the time and this LFZ Char Kway Teow is 1 of the famous stall which always has a long Q. I have not been for at least more than 6 mths and to my horror and disappointment, I queued for about 35 mins and I was shocked to see that they have increased their price to minimum $5 / pkt!! Mind you, the portion is not alot and its definitely not worth $5 for a Char Kway Teow. If not becos I have Queued for 30mins to discover the increased in price, i would have given it a miss if I have seen the increased in price before I Q! So I tot , since I have queued for 30mins, might as well give it a shot and tis will be my LAST shot!! The next price after $5 is $8 & $10 respectively. I saw some customers ordering $8 and the portion is similar to $5 but with a few extra prawns added to it! Shakes head ....Moreover, the taste of the Char Kway Teow is no long like before and it has a burnt taste! Sigh ...
