Party of 4 eating brunch. Quality of food was very good, portion size was appropriate for the cost. Service was good, attentive and timely. Food was hot when served. Waited about 8 minutes to be seated. Staff was very courtess. Restaurant offered validated parking.

Yum! Loved the exceptionally flavorful pimento cheese and bacon omelet and garlic grits and fluffy biscuit. My friend and I also split the churro waffle with dark chocolate dipping sauce. Greasy, decadent and delicious. The pineapple strawberry mimosas were refreshing and the service on the patio fast and friendly. Highly recommend for good portions of great food.
Be the first to ReplyReally good brunch
This is a great local Atlanta brunch with some classic favorites and some fun favorites! The Peachtree is fantastic with brown sugar bacon, pimento cheese grits, fried green tomatoes and eggs with a fresh fluffy biscuit:) They are popular and it gets busy so expect to wait and peak times. Servers hit or miss, but the drinks are great and you can sip while you wait:)

It was hard to tell if they were open, as it appeared dark. We persevered and found that they were open and went to find a parking spot. It was early on Sunday morning and the staff were very friendly. I had not been feeling great with a cold, but 1 sip of the decaf coffee perked me up. I got a biscuit with egg and cheese and it was very tasty. My husband ordered the Peachtree Plate and loved it. I am not a grits fan, but the pimento cheese grits on his plate were good. Our daughter's breakfast was also delightful. We found a new place for breakfast when we visit.

Food was excellent- we had waffles - crab Benedict - shrimp & grits - speciality coffees and a strawberry/pineapple mimosa- the fresh berries on the waffles were great and excellent local honey
Be the first to ReplyItโs not worth it
I donโt think it is worth it to wait an hour for a table, wait another hour for the food to arrive, with one meal finally arriving luke warm (the shrimp and grits) another meal had eggs that were not cooked through.

Excellent banana bread French toast and skillet potatoes. Omelette was tasty as well. Location has free parking in the parking deck. Also this place takes reservations which is nice.
Be the first to ReplyThey Do Not Care About The Customers
I hope this email does not go to the general manager, who was present at the restaurant on Sunday, January 3, 2021 (Rainey). If it has, please forward this to your boss. Below you will find the review that I have placed on multiple platforms. After being a customer of West Egg for over 12 years, the general manager decided that Sunday would be the day that she would not honor the booking policy that was sent to me when I made my reservation. Although we showed up late, we were not past the 15-minute grace period listed in the booking policies. Therefore, we should have patronized this restaurant unmolested and greeted as any customer should, especially since we had already paid for a service at booking by making a deposit. This was one of the most horrible customer service experiences, especially after we all drove so far, and because my husband and I have been loyal customers for so long. What I realized Sunday that this business does not respect or care about its customers! I intend on informing others of this fact. If I could give a 0, I would! I will start by first saying that I have been a customer of West Egg for about 12 years now since they were a small cafe and my husband longer than that. I have gone 12 years, eating there a couple of times a month, enjoying their food, as well as customer service; however, that is until last Sunday. The Sunday before, my family made a reservation for 2 pm and ate there. For the first time, the food was cold and not as good as expected. I didnโt let that stop me from giving one of my favorite restaurants a chance to make it up. So, the following Sunday, we made a reservation for the only time they had available for 6 people, at 2:45. I accepted the reservation paid the non-refundable fee, and arrived with my guest at around 2:52, which according to the booking, I have a 15-minute grace period. When we walked in, instead of a greeting, the person standing at the host stand was digging through a purse and putting on lip-gloss, and said, โitโs too late, weโre closed.โ I informed her that we have already paid and reserved a table for 6 people. Just then, another person walked up, asked our name, and said, โI can seat you all outside.โ I explained that I picked indoor and we did not want to sit outside. So, we were told that they would check the floor and clean off a table. After that, the general manager (Rainey was the last name) walked over and said that they would not serve us. I said, โwe have a reservation, and we are here,โ and to that, her response was, โbut itโs 2:57.โ I explained to her that I had a 15-minute grace period according to the booking policy, and she responded that the kitchen closed at 3. I told her that last week the food was not good and this week we show up, and this happens, and I asked her, โIs this going to be the be the norm for the customerโs experience at West Egg?โ Her response, โthis is the new norm for COVID.โ We had to drive into the city 30 minutes, and we had a guest from out of town with us, who drove even further from Covington. It was by far one of the worst customer service experiences of my life, enough for me to never go back to this restaurant again, especially after I had spoken so highly of the place to my guest. They refused to honor their guidelines and policies from the reservation. The general manager not only lacked the necessary customer service skills, but she was also rude, anry, and inconsiderate.

Let me start with the good! The food was amazing! Cheers to the cooks. Well worth the hour and half drive. However, the greeter, cashier and servers were lifeless (cold). Not friendly at all. We felt rushed in and out of the restaurant. It wasn't cheap, so why were we spoke to in rude undertones?
Be the first to ReplyYummy French Toast, Seriously Strong Coffee, Overpriced
Went to West Egg on a Saturday morning for dinner with my hubby. The sign outside said they required reservations for all parties regardless of size. We didn't have a reservation, but were able to get a table for 2 inside, which was not our first choice as a huge majority of the outside tables were empty. We accepted. You order at the bar and the food is delivered to your table (this is a Covid thing). I got the sour cream pancakes, an americano and bacon. Hubby got the French Toast, an americano and bacon, but asked for well done bacon. We both tried to get a bourbon punch, but were told since it was before 9am they couldn't ring it in. The tables inside are spaced out well and all staff are wearing masks correctly on their face. Food arrived pretty quickly and coffee arrived about 10 minutes after the food, which was disappointing. The pancakes were ok, but nothing special. They could have used Bisquick mix and I would not have known a difference. Hubby's french toast was awesome with fruit compote on top, would definitely recommend. Both coffees were so hot we couldn't drink them the entire time we were there. They were so strong that my husband who likes strong coffee couldn't stomach it. I asked for extra cream for mine and was given 2 creamers and that did little to touch the strength and we both ended up leaving our coffees nearly untouched when we left. For 2 breakfast plates and 2 coffees it came to $40, so it is a little on the pricy side for breakfast food.
Be the first to ReplySouthern style breakfast done right!
Handicap accessible. Amble parking in the ramp behind which is free. Good for couples and for groups of 8 or 10. Also has tables in the front for those who want WiFi and a cup of coffee. Meals have plenty of food but you can just have coffee and a pastry or cupcake. I had the Southern breakfast with a flaky buttermilk biscuit, brown sugar bacon, cheese grits, 2 eggs and fried green tomatoes. Delicious! Staff are friendly and attentive. Good for kids.

We live in the area and have driven past this place a million times. Have always wanted to eat here but always saw dozens of people outside waiting. Decided to get up early and beat the line. Great decision. Our server was nice and took good care of us. We ordered the Shrimp and Grits and the Georgia Benedict. Both were outstanding. So much more we wanted to try so we will be getting up early to beat the line!
Be the first to ReplyVery good breakfast
The problem with a good breakfast spot is that there is always a wait at breakfast time. But it's worth it.
Be the first to ReplyThe food is delicious!
I was in town with my husband and this place was recommended. Of course we went and absolutely loved it! The service was great! The food excellent! I had the churro waffle, cheese eggs and orange juice. I was full and I want to go back tomorrow ( that's how good the food is there). When I come back in e this place is a MUST!!!! Check out when you are in Atlanta you will not be disappointed.
