Win Son Reviews from The Last Year
Well deserved reviews
Out of all the coffee shops we visited during our apartment hunt in Brooklyn (a dozen or so, because a good coffee shop is an essential part of a neighborhood)- this one wins. The drinks and the pastries, especially the Asian influenced ones, were spectacular. Look forward to trying everything on the menu over the next few years.

this place had been on my to try list for a long while so was excited to give it a try. unfortunately will say i was a little underwhelmed given the hype around it. Everything was SOLID but nothing wow-ed me. I tried the - sloppy bao 4/5 - dan bing 3.5/5 (would view this more of a side than a main) - sesame noodles - 3/5 the least impressed by this one and tasted as if missing salt - sweet soy milk 4/5 to be honest the star for me. we asked for hot but came lukewarm. wish it was hotter. - ice cream sandwich 4/5 the cilantro was very delicious on this surprisingly. very large dessert. couldn't finish between 2 people as a frame of reference. definitely still worth the visit for certain dishes but i probably won't be returning.
Rare Taiwanese restaurant with an exceptional selection of
Rare Taiwanese restaurant with an exceptional selection of fusion food, with a particular strength in vegetarian options. $20 a person. 4.5/5 stars as a lunch spot.
3.5 This review is for the restaurant and not for the
3.5 This review is for the restaurant and not for the bakery. Ambiance is a bustling American diner with tight seating but not too overcrowded. Service is curt and straightforward. I really wanted to like the food and was curious to see how Taiwanese food would be fused with Western elements. Ordered Lu rou fan, sesame noodles, scallion pancakes, Wu yu zi noodles and oyster pancake. Food started off strong! Scallion pancakes had a chewy/crunchy texture. Would say texture was done so well that it's worth ordering. Oyster omelette exceeded my expectations. Now, I think they made it so omelette that it tasted less like a remix and more like a different dish. But it was a positive innovation. They had a green sauce that paired well but most importantly, the gelatin part of the pancake did the og justice. Wu yu zi noodles was a sleeper. I would compare it to a saucy uni garlic noodles and glad I ordered it. Usually the Wu yu zi is pungent on its own. Get it if you want saucy noodles! Sesame noodles was wtf. Not thick enough to be sesame and not flavorful enough to know what it is. Mushrooms is a head scratcher. Don't know who the demographic is for this dish. Lu rou fan was the biggest disappointment when comparing it to its og form. Lu rou fan is perfected based on how you utilize soy sauce, shallots and your secret ingredients. Five spice is usually optional and you have to avoid making the five spice powder taste too strongly. Cinnamon is one of the five spices and literally that's all I could taste. Broke it down because this taste is a big no no . It's like slapping ketchup on oyster pancake and saying that's American Taiwanese fusion. Def worth coming back for specific dishes but would stay away from particular ones
This place is amazing!! Not one item on the menu is a miss.
Be sure to end your night with their "espresso martino"

In this part of Brooklyn that I wouldn't normally frequent 15 years ago, I was astounded to see a much gentrified and flourishing multicultural culinary destinations. Came here to sample an inventive Taiwanese fare with a Michelin Bib recognition. It has a sister bakery that sold excellent pastry options reflecting the diversity of its neighborhood. I enjoyed the vegetarian sesame noodles --
Ordered two appetizers and two main dishes.
The appetizers were fine but took 15 minutes for scallion pancakes to come out. Our waiter was also came off as really rude and disrespectful. After another 35 minutes our main dishes arrived and were horribly disappointing, overpriced, and failed to satisfy our hunger. Overall this place is a white washed joke of an Asian restaurant and it would be best for the community if they were promptly shutdown.

Have yet to try a bad item on the menu! Portions are big and satisfying without losing any quality of flavor
Breakfast Sando wraps are life savers.
Ube donuts are unreal. Both are great for dine in on the patio or delivery.
Love this place.
Have been coming here for many years. The food always slaps. Beef roll is bomb. The service is amazing and it's such a fun spot. Scott is the best.
The food here was okay.
..I would describe it as American with Taiwanese influences. (Definitely not traditional, authentic or even modern Taiwanese.) I was lucky enough to be able to try several dishes.
Interesting Chinese Bakery
Quirky little bakery/cafe with interesting offerings. The fan tuan is the best but quite small for the price. The turnip cake is tasty but way too crispy. The custard toast is really tasty. Not bad as a breakfast place in Williamsburg.
Nice place!
We find ourselves drawn back to this spot time and time again. The dining area, with its charming simplicity, creates a cozy atmosphere, and the trendy staff makes us feel genuinely welcomed and at ease during our brunches at the restaurant. The food is not only delicious but also beautifully presented, adding to the overall enjoyment of our dining experience.

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue? |
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
