Yaamava' Resort & Casino San Bernardino Reviews from The Last Year
Weak Casino.
..I rather spend my money at any other casino.. This place is dirty. The hotel sucks. I used to think It was a great gambling place. But No.. it's a rip off. Even the cashiers behind the game 'try to steal money'. I have caught them multiple times... Keep your eyes open. Double count your money.'
I had an incredible experience at Yaamava' Resort & Casino!
I had an incredible experience at Yaamava' Resort & Casino! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the level of service and hospitality offered by the staff. The shuttle drivers were friendly and punctual, making the transition from parking to the casino smooth and hassle-free. Inside the casino, the atmosphere was lively and exciting. The variety of games and the overall ambiance made for an enjoyable time. The restaurant staff were equally impressive. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring our dining experience was top-notch. The food was delicious and the service was prompt, which added to the overall positive experience. Every staff member, from the shuttle drivers to the restaurant servers, contributed to making my visit memorable. I highly recommend Yaamava' Resort & Casino for anyone looking for a great time with exceptional service. I can't wait to visit again!
Yaamava will spend millions on advertising however won't
Yaamava will spend millions on advertising however won't try to do the right thing make a former dedicated customer happy when it was there fault. Will try other avenues. I would not visit this casino since they have no desire to settle something that that was their fault.
Had the worst experience.
I didn't know the place was 21 and over and my parents wanted to play in the casino so we waited outside. The cops came out and told us to leave and I explained that my parents were inside. They were following us until we left I felt threatened and their employees were so rude. Never coming here again!!
It really is a terrible place to ‘play’
I’ve been a diamond player for years and I can certainly tell you this casino is as tight as they come. The concession areas are not great and just about every employee I’ve ever dealt with has an attitude. That said I’ve obviously won some hand pays but by and large it’s a lousy place to play. A LOT of riff-raff. We’re back to Vegas and our luxury suite at Bellagio. It seems to me they are struggling both at Yaamava and at Palms but for many, it’s the only game in town.
Avoid Yaamava- they don't care about your business
Yaamava. Garbage. Very clique-ish. Casino hosts take care of their friends that are Diamond Players. Other Diamond players like me can suck it, as far as they're concerned. I think the hosts are in the Witness Protection Program-- they NEVER are available, they never follow-up or provide any service. The promotions always seem to have a catch. Avoid this place. They do not play fair. Machines have become absurdly tight, too. I'm headed to Pechanga.
Can't trust the offers on the app.
The "Free up your Game" promotion is limited to a maximum of $100 in Freeplay per day. The app doesn't say that however. So if you go there thinking you have hundreds of dollars to convert in "earned rewards"........guess again. Oh and it converts the earned rewards into $1 of Freeplay for every $2 of earned rewards. The app doesn't say that either. If you ask to speak to a manager they won't do anything for you either regardless of your player's card status. You might get an offer for sub-par food near the high limit tables where you can pick from 5 or 6 items off a menu. You will be expected to know the fine print in all the email offers and snail mail offers they send. That's where the details for the "Free Up Your Game" can be found. The problem is that you get buried with emails and snail mail from this place to where you can't read it all. Save your money for Vegas......not this place. I'd give it less than 1 Star but that's not allowed.
Erin and David awesome bar tender they are the shit
Erin and David awesome bar tender they are the shit amazing bartenders. Great people 5 star Where
You might as well give them your money walking in the door!
You might as well give them your money walking in the door! Another casino with no payouts! I would give them a zero if I could! Nobody wants your stupid high price bags!
To be fair this is a nice casino.
Clean and well maintained. For the most part staff is friendly. Probably worth visiting for the concerts. So what's bad. For starters 1/2 full restaurants with 40+ min wait. Payouts are so lame. I expect to loose money when I go to a casino but at least give me an hour of back and forth so I can enjoy my time and leave happy even with empty pockets.
Carlos the parking attendant ( wearing yellow vest) .
I somehow veered into the wrong lane and I end up in the shipping / receiving area. Don't ask how I ended there ? I saw Carlos the older gentleman walking from one of the garage parking structure. I rolled down my car window and asked him how to navigate back to the other side of the casino parking lot . He did mention a few options for me . Carlos was perceptive and noticed I looked a little frazzled . He said, "don't worry he will run towards to the parking lot where I need to make a turn and for me to drive behind him." With his direction I made it to the right parking lot .
The casino is great, and the food court is great.
The buffet SUCKS; It's like Golden Corral and definitely not worth the price they charge. The selection is sparce, and the quality is low. The food court has better options with better quality food.

Unpleasant staff interactions
Ok this is going to be a bit of a long review. To start, Yaamava is the first casino I've ever been to and the only casino I've ever had a club card with. I signed up about 2 or 3 months ago, and currently have about 21,000 tier points. Considering every tier point accounts for 1$ spent in a slot machine--I'm not a "high roller" by any means, but I'm not coming at this review as someone who brought $50 in one time. Up to now I've been really excited to see the gift offers, comps, and other offers that Yaamava started offering me. My issue isn't with the casino games or even the rate of winning/losing. My issue is with the overall vibe I've gotten from staff when I've had a question or request. I don't know how else to put it other than my interactions have made me feel like having a question is annoying and that the employees are...annoyed. Unhappy. Like in general. In one instance with a supervisor I've literally had a smoother/warmer customer service interaction at the DMV. Earlier this week I decided to drive in to the casino based on a type of freeplay offer I hadn't redeemed yet. The offer showed the time of day the freeplay would be loaded on my club card, but didn't show an end-time. So I assumed it was valid until the end of the day. Other offers in the Yaamava app have shown the end-by times in the offer header, and since I'm new to the casino I figured oh ok it's good all day. Well, I was wrong. When I got to the casino and saw that the freeplay offer was showing as "expired" at around 8pm, I went to a Serrano club desk to ask for clarity. I also did ask for a 1-time accommodation for the freeplay as I truly was not aware it expired before the end of the day. The first lady at the desk told me outright, we can't do anything for you, sorry. But one of the other women at the desk suggested I call the number on the club card. When I called, the woman on the phone I spoke with said, that what I was told by the first woman was incorrect. That I should go back to the desk, and ask for a supervisor. So I did. The supervisor, before I even said anything, seemed irritated. The other employee I'm guessing had already filled her in on what my question would be. But even still, I found it incredibly rude to be "greeted" by annoyance when I hadn't been rude at all. When I asked her if she could help me, she flat out said no. Which was the opposite of what the woman on the phone at guest services said. It was only after I shared that with her that the supervisor, almost literally huffing at me, said "I'll just give it to you" (meaning the freeplay). It was less than $50, I truly do not understand the attitude I was given. It made me feel embarrassed. But whatever, I let it go. Everyone's allowed a bad day, supervisors included. But then tonight. I came back for a Friday freeplay offer where you could win up to 5k in freeplay. Which made me excited again and I was happy to come back. I stayed later than I anticipated and called the hotel desk to see if maybe there were any rooms available by cancellation. I had received some free room offers but have not booked a stay yet. Before I even got my full question out, the woman on the phone (who I'm pretty sure was a "VIP services" person?) cut me off to say "we're booked." No, "I'm sorry! But we're all booked," not even the courtesy of letting me finish my sentence. She didn't even know my "tier" level so I could have been anyone. To sum up...I was excited to keep coming here but these interactions have already burst the excitement bubble for me. Instead of feeling valued I feel like a nuisance if anything actually comes up I need to ask about or need assistance with. Why would I spend hundreds, let alone thousands, to feel like that? I will say, that the managers walking the floor have always been INCREDIBLY attentive, friendly and warm if I've had to ask them where something was, etc. They seem genuinely happy to be there and to interact with people.
Yaamava': The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
I’ve been coming to Yaamava' for the past several years, and have won and lost, but they seem unable to overcome the various growing pains despite having pumped millions into the property and that pains me to see as someone who enjoyed staying and playing here. The Good: • Non-smoking: Back when this casino was known as San Manuel Indian Bingo Casino, they allowed smoking throughout the entire casino. You left smelling like an ashtray with this greasy film on you whether you were gaming or not. It was gross. The pandemic was the best thing to happen to this casino because they ended the practice of smoking indoors except for one area between the main entrance and gift shop. • Dealers/Slot attendants: Having spent a fair amount of time gaming in various casinos, it’s rare to have dealers or slot attendants remember you by name. At Yaamava', however, all of them do, which makes the gaming experience more personal given the heavy flow the casino sees. • Hotel: I’ve never stayed at their old property Bear Springs, which was even further away from LA than the casino, but Yaamava' clearly went all out when they built their on-site hotel. If you’re lucky enough to stay in a suite, they are beautifully appointed and feature Eames chairs, which I love. However, the regular rooms are not too shabby either. The bed is extremely comfortable in every type of room. Suite guests and VIP players also get complimentary access to their rooftop Y Lounge, which offers an incredible selections for breakfast and evening snacks daily paired with amazing sunsets. The front desk staff is great and often recognises me by name before I even get to the desk. What’s consistently not so great is housekeeping. Often times, I’ll be given a room where the toilet is not clean or where there is still trash in the room from the previous guest. Other times there will be one or multiple maintenance issues. During a recent visit, my WC was flooded out by the toilet in the room above me. During my most recent visit, half of my room didn’t have electricity, so they had to come in and re-wire it. Another issue that cropped up during my most recent visit was when I learned Yaamava' allows guests to throw parties in their rooms. I can totally understand and appreciate this if you’re staying in a suite, but I was staying in a regular king, and the guy next door (also in a regular room) must’ve had 15-20 people with them who were all screaming at the top of their lungs at 1 and 2 in the morning. Sometimes, the hotel can change your room, but they were unable to do so for me during this visit because they were “fully committed,” which is a phrase I often hear even as a VIP guest. • Theatre: Yaamava' built itself a theatre with actual seats and suites. It’s not a massive colosseum, but a smaller, intimate venue which has attracted numerous A-list acts over the last 18 months. Naturally, I got tickets to see some amazing shows including Counting Crows, Dave Matthews and the Isley Brothers (among others). Because I’m a Diamond member, I often get offers for free tickets to most of the shows. However, the process for claiming those tickets is a bit archaic and I can’t excoriate Yaamava' enough for putting guests through it. Typically, you have to visit the casino some random weekend to claim a voucher, then you have to return the morning of the day of the show to claim your tickets. This is done to keep people gaming, but aren’t we already gaming enough if we’re so privileged to get free ticket offers? On my most recent visit, a fight broke out whilst people stood in a queue that wrapped around the casino. In Vegas, and elsewhere, event tickets are usually distributed to your e-mail or mobile an hour or two before the show to prevent scalping. I’m unsure why Yaamava' can’t do that here, especially since their venue is being managed by AXS. The Bad: • Traffic/Parking: The casino markets itself as being an hour drive from LA, but it’s more like a three hour drive unless you’re travelling from Palm Springs Airport (yes, you read that correctly) or at 2am. On a good day, traffic from Ontario Airport is about 35 minutes, but is usually 60-90 minutes in rush hour. The traffic is most apparent upon arriving in Highland from the moment you hit the off-ramp. The casino has one entry point from the west and two from the east. There is a third entry point that involves going into a neighbouring community, but that’s disrespectful to the beleaguered residents surrounding this casino. Stop doing that! On days where there is a performance, traffic is meted by tribal police who are largely aloof to the backup they’ve created on Highland Avenue. Bank to the right lane if you’re a hotel or VIP guest. Otherwise, you’ll spend a lot of time arguing with the police. Such arguments have recently extended to accessing the VIP garage where people must now show their player’s card and a piece of government ID to some codger in order to access it. I presume this is to make sure only VIP players access the car park, but there’s no way this person saw my players card or ID from 20 feet away. I’ve observed that some Diamond and Turquoise guests have parking placards to avoid this interaction. As a visiting Diamond player from New York, I do not. • Food/Beverage: The majority of the dining outlets are trash and Yaamava' knows this, which is why they are always handing out food comps. I suppose there is a perceived value whether you’re down hundreds or thousands, but even the flavours in their best restaurants are inconsistent and often miss the mark for this foodie. In a very particular order: Rock and Brews, Chingon Kitchen and Hong Bao are its three worst outlets. Rock and Brews is a tired national chain of music-themed restaurants where rock literally goes to die. This is evident by the fact that Squirrel Nut Zipper is performing there soon. When Rock and Boos (pun intended) first opened, they were short staffed and it took actual hours to produce a meal. They’re now fully staffed, but server attitude sucks and the food is as mediocre as the music. Chingon Kitchen has a celebrity sponsor — LA comedian George Lopez, so one would expect to get good Mexican food, but no. I once had a breakfast torta that made me gag. Into the rubbish bin it went. For good Mexican and Central American food, skip Chingon and go back on Highland towards the 210. There will be a row of stands that pop up at night across from the Taco Bell. There you will find good food for cheap. Hong Bao is Yaamava’s Asian themed restaurant and it’s literally a slap in the face to pass this off as Chinese food to their Chinese guests, let alone everyone else. How hard would it be to get some chefs from the nearby San Gabriel Valley? The food at Hong Bao is not only overpriced; it’s the exact same quality as Asian items you will find at their Serrano Buffet (which also sucks, but not enough to rank). Their best food and beverage outlets, which offer decent food and great service, are Radiance Cafe and Serrano Vista Cafe. Radiance Cafe is located on the pool deck, but is only open during pool season, which runs from about April to October in the IE. They’ve recently adopted an all brunch menu that’s served daily. Not a fan of the format change, but thankfully, favourites like their Baja Fish Tacos remain. All meals now include complimentary pastries and desserts if you have a sweet tooth. Serrano Vista offers seasonal items and recently produced a Thanksgiving Sandwich that I highly recommend if you plan your visit during the fall or winter. They also make a pretty decent Spaghetti and Meatballs and Eggs Benedict. I’ve notably left off their “award winning” Pines Steakhouse because the service is hit or miss with an uninspiring menu that often offers things that no one should ever be eating, such as their 8oz Kobe Striploin, which is best enjoyed 1 or 2oz at a time. Also, did I mention you’re dining in a cave? Yeah. It’s the darkest dining establishment in the casino. The Ugly: • Player Development: As stated earlier, I am a Diamond member of their Club Serrano programme, which offers various perks based on play at the property. Very early on during my gaming, I was approached by a member of the player development who wanted to be my host. I consented, but never heard from the person, who I presume left the property. My second host had introduced himself after I had hit a big jackpot. He offered me a ticket to see Billy Joel open up the new Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, and I accepted. However, he gave me some jazz about needing to sign a sponsorship form. I was already in Las Vegas and asked if the form could be e-mailed, faxed or signed at the event. His answer was no, then when I pointed out the absurdity of having to drive four hours to sign a form for a ticket he offered, he literally LOL’d me, so I cut off contact with him. My third host approached me after another winning streak, and she was the worst one yet. I’m usually good to drop $10k/month on average, but I couldn’t count on my host for anything. Not dinner or hotel reservations, not event tickets, and not even free play. I’m not a diva and maybe reached out to her a dozen times over the course of a given year, but each time I did, my requests were met with radio silence. For a while, I did all of these things for myself. Recently, however, I only put in two requests on the year — a ticket to a baseball game in September and a show ticket in April. My host said she would work on the show ticket, so I planned my visit for April. I dropped $30k on this visit, but when I went to the box office to retrieve my show ticket, there was none. My host offered me a ticket a half hour into the show. Obviously, I was pissed and finally terminated my years-long relationship with her. I’m honestly unsure what their business model is if the hosts they provide us with don’t do their jobs and can’t even provide a modicum of entertainment value for the money we put in. I don’t consider myself a dumb person (okay, maybe I’m a bit dumb since I gamble), but I do have a reasonable expectation of receiving something if not a jackpot for the considerable amount of money I’ve put into their machines. None of that happened on this or my last several visits. • Gaming: I used to love playing the slots and tables here, but I have been handed nothing but losses here since the beginning of the year. It’s gotten so bad that I am no longer playing with my card to hit jackpots. As stated above, I dropped over $30k on my recent visit. Couldn’t trigger anything to at least get some of my money back when my card was present in the machine. Without the card, I was able to trigger jackpots of varying amounts, but still left the casino with none of my money, or anything else to show for it. There was zero thrill on any of my recent visits, which has left me questioning whether I continue playing here or just play in Vegas. • Promotional Gifts: Everyone loves a casino that gives away free stuff. It’s not really free, but usually based on your play. Admittedly, I like it also, but Yaamava' has become far less imaginative over time. In the last year alone, and despite my heavy play, I was the recipient of five watches including two out-of-date Apple Series 7 watches and a current Apple SE Watch. (I was honestly hoping for a Nintendo Switch so I could gift it to my ex-girlfriend’s son, but I ended up buying him one outright instead.) Even more embarrassing was some of the mystery gift cards I’ve received. In one instance, I was given a gift card to Stater Bros., which is a supermarket chain whose closest location to Los Angeles is out in Pasadena. Suffice it to say there are no locations in New York, so I donated mine to charity during the Actor/Writer strike. This year has not been to much better, so I’ve stopped showing up to claim many of these things. • Promotional Drawings: Yaamava’ offers very whimsical promotions and contests offering chances to win cars, luxury items and cash throughout the year, but none of the winners seem to be random. Last year, a player with the initials L.S. was called for every promotion and sometimes 2-4x within the same promotion, earning free play and other benefits each time they were called. There is a new player who has since taken on that mantle, but it cheapens the experience for the rest of us who may not get called even once despite having tens of thousands of entries activated. Final Thoughts: Prior to writing up this review, I had spent a painstaking amount of time trying to chase a response for all that went on during my most recent experience, but those attempts were largely met with radio silence ($300 in some of the unluckiest free play ever and a handshake). Considering Yaamava’ is situated in one of the poorest cities, and in one of the poorest counties in California, you would think the folks at Player Development or management would work to ensure folks like myself keep passing through those door. However, as a result of this experience, I’ve clearly been developed into a player who plays elsewhere, which is a tragic testament to the obscene amount of money the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians squandered in trying to build out Yaamava' as “southern California’s premiere gaming destination,” in addition to the historically bad bet they made on redeveloping the off-off-Strip Palms Casino in Las Vegas.
Don't waste your money!
I have been to Yaamava twice in the last few months. I won't be coming back. I play video poker mostly, but there is no play for your money. The machines just take the money and don't give anything back. It used to be a lot better. I won't be coming back until I hear things have changed. I played for 9 hours and got one 4 of a kind. That is just ridiculous!
Overall Awesome!
Just a quick note. I'm a regular at Yaamava Casino, have been for some time now. As of November '23, I'd visit maybe twice a week. January, February, my visits increased drastically. I'd say 3-4 times per week. End of February '24 through all of March, I was a regular. 4-5 times per week, including Saturday. Yaamava Casino has increased my FP from $15 to $90 all of March and April. I even hit my first "hand pay" this week! I use the $90 plus the Early Bird FP and other offers throughout the week as well. I just received my comp information for May '24 & I'm a bit disappointed. They have decreased my FP amount by - $15??! Why would this happen? Any information would be great. However, Yaamava is fantastic! Huge selection of Slots, possibly the largest in SoCal, (possibly.) Staff, Security, Slot Techs etc are always kind. See you tomorrow Yaamava!
Scamming casino
Damn , I would never this scamming casino to anyone ! This place clearly cheats on all their stupid games and take every penny players have . Be aware ! Only way to win is maybe get super lucky on million dollar slot jackpot . Go little further to Morongo or fantasy springs if you wanna save your money !
Awful
As a turquoise player I couldn’t be more disappointed in my recent experiences at the casino. I started playing here in 2023 and my first host actually was extorting me and fired because of it. I lost 2.5 million last year and in 2024 they dropped my weekly free play from 1000 to now 300. My second host which replaced my fired host was constantly out sick and unavailable until she eventually quit working at the casino. Now on to my 3rd host and so far he’s confirmed a hotel reservation only after I drive 2 hours to find there actually was no room reserved for me. That’s just the beginning. Since then my machine malfunctions during slot tournament that had a higher score than anyone had after two rounds. I was in round one. No offer to compensate me for this “inconvenience. “ I recently went to Vegas and the new host couldn’t even get me a call back for a room at the Palma their sister hotel. Today was last straw. I was invited to the Long Beach Grand Prix and told to pick my tickets up before the 16th. I text my host at 9:30 this morning to tell him I’m on way to pick up Tickets. No response. Again a 2 hour drive to arrive and be told tickets aren’t available until after 8 pm. That would have been great to know before driving out again. So I left. To top it off the host says he doesn’t have the phone until his shift started at noon. Well that’s not true - I saw he read it right after I sent the message. I won’t be back. My business is going elsewhere. Player id 10597110.
Problem

Thank you for the question, if a seller is working on answering your bid, you cannot cancel it until their time is up and the bid is released back to you. The full amount of funds then go back into your AT account. Typically a seller has 48-72 hours to complete the bid.
