Breakfast Republic San Diego Reviews from The Last Year

Ick. My first and last time getting food here. I ordered some eggs Benedict through DoorDash and this is what I got. I've never had bad eggs Benedict. It's hard to mess it up. These were gross. Shame on the cook who did this. He got rid of the messed up, curdled hollandaise sauce by putting it on a to-go order. I will not try this place ever again.
I went to breakfast republic today for the first time.
My server Maria was very helpful when it came down to choosing my meal and drink. Thank you Maria for the great service ! Will be coming back !
Breakfast Republic never fails to disappoint.
From their bottomless cafe de olla to the exceptional service. At our latest visit, Maria did such a wonderful job of helping us with her attentiveness and friendly service. We'll be back again soon!
Maria was amazing.
She was friendly and quick. She continuously re filled our drinks which I love! Food was also delicious and we were quickly seated.

"I had an exceptional brunch experience at Breakfast
"I had an exceptional brunch experience at Breakfast Republic! The atmosphere was lively and inviting, and the food was delicious. But what truly made my visit stand out was the outstanding service from our server, Maria. She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Maria went above and beyond to ensure our table had everything we needed, and her warm smile made us feel welcome and valued. The combination of great food and excellent service made for a truly memorable meal. I highly recommend Breaks Republic, and be sure to ask for Maria as your server!"
Family holiday
Very funky venue with great menu. Relatively good quality with reasonable prices. Good service. We enjoyed our breakfast
Came in (group of 4) at 10am.
We love coming here but unfortunately today was not one of those days. We waited for our server to take our order when we first sat down for around 20minutes. We order everything all at once we waited so long. Our food came out before our drink but sometimes it happens if busy ....but it wasn't. We couldn't find our server the entire time. We asked multiple people around us when we needed something. She was a terrible server.
Parking was hard to find and you'll probably have to end up
Parking was hard to find and you'll probably have to end up paying for it. Food was alright, I think they are more known for their sweeter food items and drinks which we ended up not getting. The place is very cute and spacious. There is outside, inside, bar seating. They also have toast so they do accept Apple Pay.
Our server Maria was super friendly plus she was so
Our server Maria was super friendly plus she was so pretty!!! and we loved every drink / food item !!! Especially the French toast flight I'm ready for a nap lol
This is one of my must stop whenever I visit San Diego.
Usually I take my Ube latte to go but today we ate there. Despite showing up during Sunday brunch, we were seated as a party of 6 right away. I love the atmosphere of this place, it has diner cafe vibes but in someone's farmhouse. Our server was very sweet. And I also want to give credit to the busboy who was running around and stacking plates like no other. The menu is quite extensive. There's definitely something for everyone. Even the vegetarians. I usually get the vegan eggs Benedict but I tried something new with the vegan burrito this time. Both are amazing. I love that they have actual meat substitutes here. The portions are huge so I actually ended up splitting my breakfast. They also have a little market where we bought some of their homemade hot sauce!

One of our favorite places to go in San Diego (we've been to three locations). Food is great, staff are friendly and helpful and the vibe is nice and chill (two of the locations had al fresco seating so that's fun).
Shrimp & Ricotta Frittata was amazing!!! Maria is so lovey
Shrimp & Ricotta Frittata was amazing!!! Maria is so lovey to have as a waitress and I enjoyed our company! 10/10 I sat outside which was refreshing
Delicious breakfast!!!
We went to the one at Liberty Station and were very lucky because it’s always packed. Had a wonderful breakfast!!! They have very good coffe and their juices are fresh!!! Loved it. The service was very nice!!!
Great atmosphere with amazing food!! Highly recommend as it
Great atmosphere with amazing food!! Highly recommend as it has a nice patio, which is dog friendly. Thank you for a great time!
very underwhelming service, came with a group of four
very underwhelming service, came with a group of four (mid-twenties) on a very slow wednesday (11AM) and immediately felt disregarded by the hostess as we approached, waited 30 minutes to be seated because the computers were down, but i don't see why we couldn't be seated & wait at the restaurant. wouldn't mind waiting to order until they came back on. the menu says they use eco friendly straws but the drinks/pictures say otherwise. the only upside to this place really is the food, came out quick and tasted amazing but the service sucks, definitely don't feel like an appreciated customers. not sure if i'd come back again
First visit there this morning.
Just moved to the area so decided to give it a go. The place is super nifty with lots of different areas and spots Inside and out and the decor is interesting. The menu was large and full of things I enjoy. I decided to try shrimp and grits and have 1 lemon coconut pancake. The shrimp and grits were superb. The grits were made with Gouda and just got better and better with every bite. The shrimp was cooked beautifully and the over easy eggs were nicely cooked as well. They did get a bit closer to over medium sitting on top of the hot grits, but excellent. The pancake had super lemon flavor. I added syrup, which I should have skipped as it was not real and the pancake was pretty sweet already. Small detail really. I added a bloody Maria and the cocky 12 cold brew. Both excellent. My server Kayla was super welcoming and took time to walk me through many of the options on the menu. Very high level of service. All in all an excellent breakfast to welcome me to the neighborhood. I highly recommend a stop here

This restaurant consistently impresses with its delicious food, attentive service, and inviting ambiance. Whether dining solo or with friends, each visit is a delightful experience that keeps me coming back for more.
Usually very busy, but it's worth the wait.
Pancakes are delicious, fluffy and moist. They make their own jam. It's always a treat. My favorite is the Cafe De Olla. Kids love the breakfast sandwich, and Oreo pancakes
Had a lovely brunch with my visiting brother.
Our server was super epic, kind, and helpful. I have a large Service Dog and was mindfully placed away from traffic and asked nicely if another pup comes in on their dog friendly patio that they be placed at a distance. I asked way too many questions but she didn't blink an eye and happily answered. Ordered the Crab Cake Benedict's and was super yummy and had tons of leftovers for later. My brother loved his too. I haven't been since the pandemic and was happy the ambiance of the place and food had remained great!
Day 2 of the Californian Adventure
We got a lovely warm welcome from Gustavo as we walked into this fabulous place-menus, water & coffee straight away. We then spent an age trying to choose something to eat because it all looked so so good. And when it came it was! Fresh & light & something a bit different-right down our street-& a perfect way to start the day
Service was a little laggy but our waitress was very kind
Service was a little laggy but our waitress was very kind and sweet, we loved the aesthetic of the restaurant! The plants to egg themed chairs was too cute ! And the heaters were a nice touch. The food, at least my dish, was okay but everyone else's seemed amazing as they couldn't hide their facial expressions after one bite ! Definitely will be returning !
Great Menu Awesome java
what a menu with terrific options. anything jurrasic was outstanding. fast friendly service with excellent coffee. Highly recommend.
Breakfast Lover Must-Eat
I had the oreo chocolate pancakes and they were filling and good, with quite a large portion for the price. The bacon was the best bacon I’ve had in a breakfast joint here so far. Service with a smile. No wonder it’s so busy and people are in love with the place.
GOOD!
Been wanting to try this chains in a while since I got to SD, I would say the food is good just the potatoes is so dry, I know that we dined at 2PM and probably they don't make a fresh batch again but regardless you guys open until 3PM we should get the same fresh potatoes like in the morning! The service is good, our server is very attentive! The drinks is good as well! One thing to add, I don't know if the musics are universal within the chains, but brunch place should have up beat music so the customers kind of excited to dine and drinks! VERDICT: Maybe I will comeback :)
Good spot for breakfast
Came here for breakfast, food and service was great. The size of the pancakes were massive and very tasty. Very busy place but service and food was on point.
Chicken fennel sausage omelet and the gains bowl are worth a try
Too wet obviously to be seated on their patio. It’s early and not to busy, first come, first served. It’s filled up since we arrived and it’s just barely after 8:30am. Gustavo is taking care of us today. You will be in good hands with him for your breakfast and brunch experience. He’s the best part of todays experience. The staff here are so fast about turning over tables, the clear off and the quick rag wipe and then they are ready for the next guest. We ordered the Mexican mocha latte with oat milk, comes with two shots of espresso, two immune boosts, green tea, gains bowl, chicken fennel sausage omelet with sourdough English muffin and a side of Turkey bacon and a side of the fennel chicken sausage too. $68.07 Not super flavorful or a strong spice to the Mexican mocha latte. It’s so-so. The immune shot is different with the pomegranate base juice for it, prefer the immune shots with the lemon juice base for me. Their house ketchup and hot sauce are both good on everything. Their house ketchup has a nice kick to it. The gains bowl is too bad, lots of different textures and flavors. The hot sauce makes it even better. The chicken fennel omelet is tasty, so good that we ended up ordering a side of the sausage again. The sausage is quite good on it’s own. The English muffin and potatoes were rather blah. The Turkey bacon looks quite pink and oddly colored, tasted fine, but was also super thin and not better substantial, not a lot to it. That dreaded 4% surcharge that’s separate from the gratuity. You do get to pay at the table, as they bring the machine, keeping it honest.
An unbeatable breakfast
Typical American Restaurant with a wide variety of dishes and an excellent combination between them, perfect to share with friends or alone, also with good prices
Busy but good
The food was honestly pretty good. The parking unfortunately isnt the best, you will probably have to park down the street a bit and walk up. This place seems to be a very popular place though so me and my girl had to wait 30 minutes before being seated(not a problem just a heads up it gets busy and you will wait). We waited a bit for our server to come back to give us our check so if you are not a patient person then this place ain’t for you. Again they seem to be popular especially on weekends. The drink selection for coffee was intriguing and different. I like that. I had their iced ube latte and i forgot the name of my girls drink but she got a coffee that was made up of vanilla, cream, and coffee icecubes. I had their upside down pineapple pancakes, when i got them they were bigger than i thought they were going to be. So be prepared for bigger portion sizes. They were very fluffy and slightly sweet without much syrup which is good. My only problem was i love syrup and sauces so when they only gave me a tiny plastic cup of syrup for 3 giant pancakes i was a bit disappointed. Overall we will be going back at some point because the food is good and its a cute little place and i like it ☺️
Breakfast in San Diego
Enjoyed Republic Breakfast thoroughly. Food was fabulous and the wait staff was very attentive and nice. Had the omelette and chiquillas. Tasty!!
