Go there, a wonderful experience
Location with a stupendous view, delicate entrées with unique flavours, a gem: "their cappuccino" which really amazed me... then I opted for their raw fish as an appetizer (the dish was a painting) and spaghetti with oysters, something indescribable... A beautiful experience.
Disappointment
We returned to this restaurant with high expectations, the previous times it had left us with excellent sensations, and we always wanted to return. The cappuccino and spaghetti with oysters were excellent as always, except for other dishes offered in the Guido 2024 menu, but for personal taste. In my opinion, the wine pairing route was disappointing, unfortunately the route proposed in combination with the menu only included 3 wines and 3 different types of drinks, justified so as not to exceed too much with the quantity of alcohol.......... ... Faced with a menu with over 10 courses, 3 types of wine seemed few, so we opted for the wine route consisting of 5 glasses, but well below all expectations, all very similar to each other, no wine proposed was to accompany the dish, the choice of pairing in my opinion was very random, no wine enhanced the flavor of the food. Too bad, this time it didn't leave me with the usual desire to return.
Saint Valentine
Trying a new restaurant on an evening like Valentine's Day is dangerous, especially for those who do elaborate cuisine, cuisine that requires experimentation and repetition, which cannot be found in a one shot menu. The result was an imperfect evening. On the menu we found some very good things (the entrees, the cappuccino, the open ravioli, the cuttlefish, the dessert with radicchio) and others less so, but few truly surprising things. Even the young service is willing, they endured the new menu with extreme difficulty explaining the dishes (swapping the beurre blanc sauce with cream is quite serious). Then you cannot have the electronic wine list and not have it updated: the first bottle, marked as the last bottle, was no longer there; the next choice, always the last bottle, they brought us a later vintage than the one indicated without notifying us. In short, an experience that unfortunately leads us not to return to this place, too bad.

All truly tasty and innovative, with a mouth-watering eel-based dish! Kind and efficient service, extensive wine list with fair mark-ups. And then I really appreciated it mild temperature of the premises in the middle of winter (it seems strange, but I have come across starred restaurants where you ate in the cold during the bad season). A tip: the dishes are so tasty and tempting that a greater abundance in the portions would be very welcome.

The thing about going to a restaurant is that it should taste good. We took the tasting menu and we were very disappointed. Nothing tasted good. We just wanted it to end.
Excellent starred fish
Second time I return to Guido's after 6 years. I have always found the same excellent quality in the raw materials, dishes and service. One of their dishes that remained imprinted 6 years ago and which fortunately was proposed to me again here, is the sea cappuccino which has a flavor of milk and coffee but at the same time has the hint of the sea, and is incredibly harmonious and balanced. For the rest, I really appreciate the formula that allows you to choose the dishes that make up the table's tasting menu. Level service as expected from a starred restaurant.
...how to bring honor and prestige to the Italian culinary art!
I had lunch at this restaurant last Thursday, in December 2023, during my short visit to Rimini. The choice of this place was dictated by my desire to live the experience of a Michelin-starred restaurant, and I enthusiastically seized the opportunity during my visit to the area to go to "da Guido", a renowned Rimini restaurant which for years figures with merit in the Michelin guide. The structure, located on the seafront of Miramare di Rimini, presents itself from the outside with discretion and elegance. The dining room staff and waiters welcomed me kindly, leading me to my table. The furnishings, characterized by elegance and some distinctive elements, contributed to creating a welcoming atmosphere, while the sea view was exceptional. The menu offered a couple of tastings already curated by the chef, as well as the possibility of opting for the "Il Vostro Mare" menu, which allows you to compose the meal by choosing at least five courses from the menu. I chose the latter option, delighting in dishes such as "Sea, onion and caviar," "Shrimp and belly," "Rice, saffron, marrow and cod liver," "Cappelletto, grill, mullet and vinegar," and finally, the "Mixed fried food." To start, I opted for an Americano as a welcome aperitif, accompanied by an entrée made up of four mini tastings. For the rest of the meal, I chose the wine pairing with four different glasses. The cover presented a rich variety of breadsticks, homemade bread and typical Romagna piadina. The courses were presented with a detailed and pleasant explanation from the waiter, who also provided kind advice on how to best appreciate each dish. The combination of flavors, the dosage of ingredients and their combination in complex and delicate dishes were extraordinary, avoiding any error that could have compromised the exaltation of the final taste. The food-wine pairings proposed and carefully explained by the dining room staff contributed to further elevating the gastronomic experience: - Friulano 2019, Tercic winery paired with appetizers - Trebbiano d'Abruzzo 2017, Valentini winery paired with the first courses - Pinot Bianco 2020, Falkenstein winery paired with mixed fried food - Marsala 2004, Heritage cellar by Francesco Intorcia paired with dessert As a final dessert, I chose "Come la sacher" from the menu, preceded by a pre-dessert of ice cream and nutmeg and followed by a selection of small pastries. The overall experience was extraordinary, with extremely friendly, helpful, professional and knowledgeable wait staff. The dishes and raw materials were of unquestionable quality, characterized by sophistication and originality, all set in an elegant and welcoming environment. This restaurant perfectly embodies the union between tradition and innovation, giving prestige and honor to one of the most representative disciplines of our country: culinary art. A warm round of applause to all the staff and chef Raschi for having given such precious moments, capable of remaining imprinted in the customers' memories. Compliments!
FLAVOR OF THE ADRIATIC
We were invited to a tasting at the Guido restaurant on the Bagno 139 beach. The tasting included a dozen tastings, but, in reality, there were many more and not just tastings. I immediately understood that it was an excellent restaurant from the brand of sparkling water offered: the one with the star. It seems pointless to me to describe the individual courses, as they are all based on local fish treated in an absolutely unusual and very tasty way: a continuous surprise, lasting 150 minutes. The star attributed to the Guido Restaurant is well deserved. The staff is courteous and welcoming. It seems obvious to me that we will return, even accompanied by our children and grandchildren, to allow them too to taste the goodness of the Ristorante da Guido.
Bad Experience
We booked dinner for Friday 15th September, confirmed with a credit card. Received confirmation to our UK email address from Fork in Italian which we didn’t understand. Stayed at a hotel in Rimini and discovered Guido was outside Rimini (our fault) so asked the Conciege to cancel our booking by telephone as we didn’t speak Italian and to ask if there was a cancellation fee. We were told all fine to cancel and no charge. 2 days later Euro 180 taken on the credit card. Obviously had we known this would happen, we would have taken a taxi and fulfilled our reservation. We contacted Guido who refused to give a refund because we cancelled too late. Our view is if they are going to take bookings from foreigners, Fork or Guido should give the terms and conditions in the language of the email address and at the very least if there is a genuine problem like this, they should offer a refund . Not everyone speaks Italian.

Fabulous Lunch

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
