My wife and I came with no expectations and we were delighted with the meal.
Staff: Attentive but young
Decor: Very nice, we sat inside but the outside seating look attractive and fun.
Liquor/Wine Note: As of August 4 they were still waiting for their Liquor License.
Menu: Limited at this point. But not limited in flavor
Price: It's the East End. That said we walked away feeling that the total bill ($220 for 2) was worth it. Nothing worse than dropping a large bill for a very forgettable meal and that did not happen here.
My wife and I both order the Striped Bass ($38) and an appetizer of clams.
The striped bass itself was a decent size, well cooked and fresh ( it better be out hereon the East End). But the corn and early girl tomatoes bed it rested on was terrific...I mean really exceptional. I tried t wheedle the recipe from the waiter but not sure I got the recipe other than lemon juice and some slightly hot spices (hot enough to be interesting, not "tears in the eyes" heat. Just wonderful.
The clams were very good, fresh and smaller (Littlenecks). There was a spice in the sauce that I could not identify other than I knew I did not like it. The said I am glad I ordered as my wife did not detect my offending spice. The only hick-up was that the appetizer did not come before the meal. Having dined out a number of times during Covid we are forgiving as 5 star service is the exception, not the rule now. Read The Points Guy article about this on line.
Looking forward to another visit, but probably after the crowds diminish out here( If they ever do!).
