Large groups are targeted always . I have caught them 2 times & I will call it quits. That young Asian owner needs to get his business in line before people get smart

I went to this restaurant for lunch around 2:00 pm, and despite no closing sign, the hostess informed me they close at 2 and urged me to hurry. Despite feeling rushed, I ordered miso soup, chicken, and eggplant skewers. Unfortunately, the food was cold and stale. I observed other diners enjoying their meals, contradicting the urgency expressed by the hostess. To add to the disappointment, the waitress brought the bill before I finished eating. Overall, I found the customer service unfriendly and the food of low quality. I won't be returning and would rate them two thumbs down.

I had an unsatisfactory experience due to poor customer service and an unwelcoming attitude from the staff, which was surprising and disappointing. Despite being a local patron eager to support the establishment, I was met with indifference and a lack of flexibility when requesting a minor adjustment to my reservation. The interaction was particularly marred by an employee (red hair with piercings) whose demeanor and professionalism were lacking. This behavior not only reflects poorly on the establishment's reputation but also on its commitment to customer satisfaction. It's crucial that this feedback is conveyed to the management or the owner for necessary improvements and to ensure that future customers do not encounter a similar experience. I will not be returning to this establishment due to an unpleasant experience where the manager threaten us, despite having a reservation and every right to be seated accordingly, we were made to wait an hour and our small request to adjust the reservation was not accommodated.

Food is mediocre but what's worse are the front door hostesses. Incredibly rude and unprofessional. I asked for a different table, and some 20 year old arrogant Gen Z person snapped at me after politely asking for a different table. I came straight from work, still in a suit, with my mother and this person who seems to think that she can treat guests any which way she wants to, snaps at me. Perhaps your generation doesn't understand what respect and customer service mean, but we still do. Either way, there is better sushi in the valley. Stay away
I've been going to kushiyu since I was a child early 90's.
I was so excited that after almost 2 years it was reopened. Unfortunately was very disappointed to find out the service and food was not the old kushiyu !! Prices seemed to have tripled as well. We went in the other night excited and came out upset and frustrated.Will not be going back.The employees all look over worked and unhappy. It's a shame.

Sad but it's gone very downhill.
They never answer the phone after the open at night. You can place a take out order. They say online they only take phone reservations but again they never answer the phone. The 1 x they did answer the phone, she said sorry they don't take reservations. When I finally go there after calling, the place is empty lots of open tables, and a 1 hour wait. Makes no sense. Especially the no take out orders. Missing out on huge income with low food costs. Hope they fix it soon.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
