Never here again!
We arrived on March 23rd, and already upon arrival we understood what we would expect... We booked a Junior Suite Laura, the girl at the reception answered the phone calls telling us to wait a moment so that she would accompany us (everywhere the customer has priority on the phone calls you receive) but let's get to the point, the room was spacious but dirty, there was at least an inch of dust on the radiators, we took a walk around Spello and then returned to the hotel to try the spa. The spa was small and unhygienic, for example they had a sheet on the massage seats and the ladies who ran it didn't change the sheet so it was wet and all the guests used it (a horrible thing). Once the SPA was over, SAY, we returned to the room for the shower, we placed the shower head on the floor to be able to place our shower gel as there was no solution for placing the bathroom products, and this was not a problem as it could decide where to let the water jet come out, and in this case not from the mobile shower head but from the one with a fixed station, after finishing the shower we realized that the bathroom had been completely flooded, so much so that before dinner we said so in reception and they mopped the floor. We asked the girl at the reception where we could eat and the girl replied that there was only a pizza place nearby, so we decided to eat in the hotel, only afterwards, taking a walk, did we realize that there were 'there were many taverns where we could dine, perhaps he wanted to convince us to dine in the establishment? But even this wasn't a problem as the dinner in the hotel was exquisite, perhaps the thing we appreciated most besides the hospitality and friendliness of a waiter (the tall one with light hair). The next morning before going to breakfast I got into the shower, the water came out freezing cold, so much so that it made it impossible for us to wash. At that point I immediately got dressed and called the girl at the reception who came to the room to see the situation and responded by saying "eh but it's not our fault, there is a problem in the area, upstairs the problem has been solved ”. In a 4 star hotel we don't expect a response like that, we would have expected a response like "look, I see where the problem has been solved so we can go to another room to take a shower" instead the girl, in addition to having responded badly, the owner of the facility called and very rudely told me "ma'am, last night you flooded the bathroom on purpose, now you're telling us that the water isn't coming out and that it's cold, this is just to get a discount" he wouldn't let me talk and explain, it's so true that I replied only by saying that he was calling me a liar, that the bathroom hadn't been flooded on purpose but there was an obvious problem in the shower, that the shower head had been placed on the floor closed only to be able to place the bath product and that by offending me he was just being rude. YOU DON'T EXPECT SUCH TREATMENT FROM AN OWNER OF A FAKE FOUR STAR AT THIS POINT. Keep away from the Laura suite, only go to this place if you want to enjoy an exquisite dinner. Totally incompetent reception staff.
It's not a four star
Located in the highest part of Spello, beautiful location. The staff were really very courteous. The rooms, old, poorly maintained and not very clean, with very uncomfortable mattresses and the breakfast consisting mainly of sweet cakes and industrial biscuits as well as the bread and fruit juices, do not comply with the declared four stars, perhaps barely reaching three. The scrambled eggs were good but the bacon was basically a crusty sheet of fat. Among other things, there were no options for those allergic and intolerant to gluten and lactose (not even lactose-free milk). It's a shame because the location deserves it as well as the external structure but the rooms absolutely need to be modernized (at least those with the garden where we have stayed, I haven't seen the others) and improved the breakfast. With all the fantastic Umbrian products it shouldn't be difficult

4 Star Hotel ****Excellent overview of the wonderful terrace, central, private parking available, excellent breakfast, beautiful decorative environment, elegant furnishings. Kindly for the next Jacuzzi it is Champagne. Angelica.
New Year 2023
Unfortunately, expectations were very high. The hotel has great potential, but the management is very poor. I booked a deluxe room and after an initial problem of an incorrect room, I also found defects in the other room such as the absence of 3 courtesy sets for the guest, the arrangement of objects such as the magnifying mirror which was impossible to use and the hairdryer . I used the SPA, 90 minutes at a cost of €30 per person and I'm sorry to say it, but a real disaster: no relaxation area, scary Turkish bath (plastic chairs and manual ignition), "herbal tea" area without glasses and choice of herbal teas , hydromassage tub with manual ignition every 5 seconds. Let's get to breakfast: from a 4 star I expect a rich and varied breakfast with a bar available and I didn't find it. The structure is beautiful, but the management absolutely needs to be reviewed!

The only negative thing was having to leave after only 4 days.. Perfect room, spacious, with hydromassage tub, large bathroom and impeccable cleanliness, small but very nice spa with everything you need, the girl who took our reservation and then checked us in was very professional but above all nice and kind, however a special thanks goes to Dorian (nicknamed by me and my wife "the boy with the golden hands"), on the second day we had a problem with the hydromassage in the room, as soon as we communicated to the reception he arrived... The problem wasn't small but Dorian didn't give up until he solved it, fantastic. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed but they told us that from March/April they should reopen it, if possible we will be happy to return...

good welcome and services, magnificent location overlooking the entire valley. Maybe it needs some routine maintenance. still good in the beautiful city of Spello. A guarantee of hospitality all year round.

I was wandering around the magical town of Spello and happened upon La Bastiglia. The view from the terrace is breathtaking, amazing, awe inspiring. We thought we might be able to get dinner and look at the view but sadly when we checked with the woman at the front desk we were informed that the restaurant was closed. The front desk clerk helped us choose a restaurant for dinner, made our reservation and told us to relax on the patio as long as we wanted. I didn't get to stay there but I plan on returning to Spello and spending a few nights here.
Shameful 4 stars, less than a poor pension
I believe there are no words to describe the lack of professionalism of the staff and the indisponence of the owner. Yesterday 30 September 2023 we arrived at this hotel, 4 star deluxe room, dirt everywhere, documented by photos and videos, having booked through American Expeess Platinum, we sent everything to them. Unusable bathroom, dirty shower, internal box stickers detached and not cleaned with everything possible, over time, it can stick......including hair, mirror without light.....let's move on, telephone with months of accumulated dust........electrical sockets open, we ask for a first aid kit for injections and we are provided with a bottle of alcohol and two sheets of paper towels......they don't have the kit which would be mandatory. We point this out to the girls at the reception, unable to handle the situation, they tell us that they cannot check the cleanliness of all the rooms, sorry??????? They offer us a room change; it would make us laugh if it wasn't reality, worse than ours, the bathroom had streaks of blood on the edge of the tub, no mattress cover The owner, until shortly before unreachable, calls us at 9pm while we are going to dinner and offers us to clean the room or leave the hotel!!!!!!! We point out all the inconveniences, they leave him indifferent, indeed......the mattress cover is not there because we have no idea what dirty things the customers do. .......Excuse me????? But everything is dirty, and the mattress cover is put on precisely so as not to dirty the mattress. Disgraceful rudeness of the owner. We return, room with a strong smell of bleach but dirty. As before......in fact 2 giant worms, also documented, wandering between the room and the bathroom. The bill paid, it's a shame the structure is very beautiful, but in the end there is a mess between the indifference of the staff and the owner first of all.......we will take legal action and have the relevant local health authority intervene. Absolute squalor the owner is uncommentable and shameful. I forgot, we returned at midnight.....everything open with no one to check......anyone can enter this very poor hotel at night

Let's start with the positive sides...beautiful view from the swimming pool, historic structure, courteous and helpful staff, plentiful breakfast...negative sides: they are not 4 stars, at most 3 stars. There are no lifts to get to the room which with suitcases, or with ailments or worse, disabilities becomes a problem just entering the structure. Cleaning rooms is a hobby since it leaves a lot to be desired. I was asked for 20 euros for the sanitization of the room due to the presence of a 2.7 kg dog, and I would have also paid them in full, meanwhile if the room had not been so dirty before our arrival, secondly if there it had been clearly written on booking that additional costs were foreseen, before everything I had contacted the structure by telephone and I was told that for the size of the dog there was no supplement (partially paid supplement, i.e. 10 euros only because a receptionist understood my complaints). The structure is beautiful but abandoned to itself, it is not possible to use the restaurant. Too bad really.
BAD
We stayed in this hotel which has nothing at all about 4 stars. We asked to check-in a little earlier (instead of 2pm to 12pm) as we have a 9 month old baby and it was not granted but this can't be accommodated, the blunt reply with "check-in is at 14”.For the parking which they say is free we had to pay €5 per night. They gave us the room in the basement. We had requested a cot with a supplement of €30 per night and they gave us a broken cot! But the worst part is the strong MOLD smell! (I am allergic to mold and I repeat, even a 9 month old baby should have slept there). We asked to change our room otherwise we would leave immediately and they gave us a nearby room. The mold situation was a little better but only slightly. It was my worst night spent in a hotel. They don't even know what cleanliness is. Even in the breakfast room the chairs are all full of dust and a dirty environment. We wanted to have lunch and when we arrived at the hotel we asked about the restaurant because even outside on the sign they write Hotel restaurant and the answer was that they don't have an internal restaurant and they invite you to go to one 900 meters away (12.30 pm on 23 August with 35 degrees and a baby). Dirty and poorly maintained outdoor area. Obviously to Check out they didn't even give a penny discount. I wouldn't stay here again even if I had the free room. BAD is a compliment!
Relax among the Umbrian hills
An enchanting and well-kept place among the Umbrian hills. Very kind staff. A few steps from the historic center of Spello. We travel with a medium-sized dog and we had a great time. Thank you

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
