Outstanding meal! Service was incredible and our server was very attentive. As an out of towner and not familiar with the dining scene we did not have any expectations before we made our reservation. We will definitely tell friends to visit when in Atlanta.

I am thinking it fell upon deaf ear so please forward it to Mr. Baker. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

Be the first to ReplyThis is mine and my husband's second time here to celebrate
This is mine and my husband's second time here to celebrate another special occasion. The first time was back in 2021 and we really enjoyed it. We enjoyed it so much we wanted to come back and try one of their speciality dinner as our meal. We ordered the Beef Wellington. We called 24 hours in advance to request it for our meal. When we were seated, we were greeted and thanked for considering them for our special occasion. The servers brought out a griddled focaccia bread in olive oil, along with ricotta cheese, olives and peppers. It was very delicious and even our three year old who joined us for dinner really enjoyed it. We didn't have to wait long for the Beef Wellington to arrive at our table. We probably only waited 30 minutes or less before it was brought out to us. We ordered it medium as it was my husband's birthday and he likes his steaks medium. I would have preferred it was medium well. There were parts that were slightly chewy than others but I really think that had to do with how my husband wanted it cooked. It was still delicious especially eating it in that puff pastry. The beef Wellington accompanied our dinner with two shareable sides. We ordered the cacio e pepe and the creamed corn au gratin. Now I have had the cacio e Pepe before and didn't think too much of it but this second time was definitely different. It was so much more delicious the second time I had it. I felt like it had more of a buttery cheese taste to it than the first time I had it. The creamed corn was savory. The taste of the creamed corn had a deep and rich taste to it almost like eating au gratin potatoes. For dessert my husband ordered the crème brûlée. I have had crème brûlée at another steakhouse and it was not even close to being as good as we had at Marcel. Marcel's crème brûlée is absolutely divine. The dish was deep enough for our spoon to go down into and it was delicious. The restaurant is quite dark, too dark for me, even when heading to the bathroom. But I do understand that steakhouses usually have low lighting for the ambiance.

Service is outstanding very attentive staff drinks not constant two vodka cranberry different ice cubes one cubed and one came with bourbon style square cube? Be the first to ReplyI have absolutely no clue how this restaurant has good
I have absolutely no clue how this restaurant has good ratings. The service was HORRIBLE. They sat and fed a table that got there after us before we got bread. They forgot my salad until after main courses arrived. I specifically asked for no bleu cheese and they put bleu cheese on it. The mushrooms were tough and gross. Steak was also gross. Everything was overly salted. The interior is nicely designed- the rest was a total disappointment
Be the first to ReplyI love Marcels vibe overall.
It's very dark but it's very classy & nice inside. I really enjoyed the oysters, we had baked & also raw. The bread is realllyyyy unique & yummy. We had two waiters last night named King & Nick, who were absolutely awesome, really great service. However, the Tomahawk steak for me wasn't too flavorful, it was made well but lacked flavor. The whipped mashed potatoes were awesome, asparagus was also alright. If i had to come back i would just order appetizers & oysters with a glass of wine of course! I'd like to think we made a late reservation so I'll use the lack of seasoning as that excuse! I would return & give it another shot!
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favorite restaurants when I go to Atlanta.
The food and service is amazing. The setting is romantic
Be the first to ReplyWe visited Marcel Wednesday evening for a date night and it
We visited Marcel Wednesday evening for a date night and it was not worth the hype! Food-We called 24 hours in advance for the Beef Wellington. It took about an hour and half for it to come out and it was very chewy (we ordered it medium) and salty, to the point where it wasn't edible. The scalloped potatoes and creamed corn just didn't taste good. Due to the wait (although we placed the order in advance it still took about 1.5 hours for our entree to come out) our server gave us a dessert on the house without us saying anything. We left plenty of food on our plates and the server asked if we wanted to box it up. We said no and he took the plates. Didn't ask if we were satisfied with the food or anything. The only decent thing we had was the Baked Alaska. Atmosphere-very loud and crowded and just a heads up you have to walk up stairs to get to the restaurant. Service-We had two servers and they were okay but forgot our napkins, wine and water refills. They were just very slow

Excellent service and food, however my steak was RARE and not medium rare. Like cold in the middle rare. The oysters and shrimp cocktail were fantastic and the scallop potatoes were probably my favorite thing we ordered. I probably should have sent the steak back, but our serve was so friendly I just felt bad doing so.
Be the first to ReplyThere's definitely great ambiance here, and the decor is
There's definitely great ambiance here, and the decor is beautiful. We made reservations for 8pm and weren't seated immediately but it only took about 5 or so minutes. We were seated in the front area before you get to the main dining room which was kind of a bummer. The tables were extremely close; even the waiters had trouble weaving in between everyone. For appetizers we got the crab salad and the Caesar. Caesar was great, didn't care for the crab salad. I think the menu lists it as "crab mayonnaise", it was basically tuna and crackers. The bread service is wonderful, honestly that was one of the best parts. My entree was the lobster risotto and I added scallops. I'd give it a 9/10. My date ordered a steak that he didn't eat for whatever reason but it looked decent. Desserts were the crème brûlée and the chocolate layered cake which we devoured. I chose a French Bordeaux as my wine of choice and ended up getting the bottle. I would give this place 5 stars but the seating wasn't great and they charged my date $50 per drink without his knowledge. He didn't mind but we ended up spending about $600 for dinner here. That could have been my car note iykyk
Be the first to ReplyI went to the very famous Marcel with my friends on
I went to the very famous Marcel with my friends on weekends. Beef Willingtou must be a must-see. This restaurant is super popular. You must book in advance. Soup French Onion Soup (I think it is very salty) Beef Willingtou with Pommes Aligot (Cheese Falls mashed potatoes taste very good It suits my taste) If you want to eat Wellington, you have to call the restaurant one day in advance and tell the staff, then the chef will prepare two small breads and two slices of ham before the meal, and the last dessert is very fancy (for pouring rum The torch burned the cream on the outside of the dessert, and then cut it open, and the inside was ice cream, and the cake embryo underneath was paired with rum, which tasted very good) It made the people at the next table cry lol. Generally speaking, the Wellington steak taste is worth checking in. Like The meat is very tender and melts in your mouth

Fantastic evening, the ambiance is amazing, dim lights, cozy seating and you can hold a conversation. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everyone was so nice. The bread was so good! It was delicious. All of the food was really good and the drinks were tasty. I would definitely come back and try some other dishes.
Be the first to ReplyMarcel never disappoints, service is top tier and the food
Marcel never disappoints, service is top tier and the food is just superb. Shrimp scampi is my favorite and the pasta. Love the decor and ambiance of the place very grown and sexy and great for date nights! An Atlanta gem for sure!
Be the first to ReplyBest steak you will ever eat.
..period. Dry aged ribeye is unbelievable! Well marbled and full of flavor. Sides are great as well...get the creamed corn. Baked Alaska finished off the evening with a bang. BakedService was the best we had all week. Tiffany and Carrie Lee took great care of us.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food and vibe.
The service was great and attentive while not being to overly bearing.
Be the first to ReplyTop steak house in Atlanta in my opinion.
If you're hung up on Hal's, Bones or Chops I challenge you try give Marcel a try. Much better in almost every way for me! French themed, swanky vibe and super sexy! Fella's if you're trying to impress, you won't miss with Marcel!! Note to Marcel - bring back the Humboldt Fog appetizer!!!
Be the first to ReplyThis is a long-time favorite.
Marcel is the kind of fine dining atmosphere that is far from pretentious. The food is amazing. You can order anything and like it. Service is spectacular the staff seems to genuinely enjoy each other and what they do. Since I am a vibes gal, just know the ambiance always sets the mood for a good time. The only word of caution I have is for those who are price sensitive. The a la carte menu can add up.Overall, be prepared to spend money and be prepared to drink ... leave unadventurous eaters, the thrifty, and those who do not understand the importance of a cocktail or great steak at home.

Talk about a swanky date night! The atmosphere is dark and romantic with award worthy meals. Definitely more of a splurge.
Be the first to ReplyThis is it, my all-time favorite steakhouse and restaurant.
Marcel is so so good at every single aspect of the culinary experience: the service is bar-none, the atmosphere is dim and alluring, the drinks are creative, and the food is astounding -- even the bread service is mind-blowing. The Marcel reserve burger brought me the greatest, most indulgent bite I've ever had. Marcel I love you, please let me be your advocate and fanatic forever.
Be the first to ReplyThis is where you get steak in Atlanta!Bring your appetite
This is where you get steak in Atlanta!Bring your appetite and your wallet. This is not a cheap eat, but it is absolutely delicious. First, they come out with bread and butter, like any other establishment, but my god it's just so good. I don't know what it is, but it just hits. We ordered a bunch of shareables, including creamed corn, beef tartare, bone marrow, potatoes, and more. We had some oysters to start as well, and they were delicious. I gotta say, the bone marrow was really really good. I wish there were more though, I think we must've gotten the smallest bone on the cow :(. I tend to always get the filet at steakhouses and I am never disappointed. This steak was absolutely delicious and the perfect size, cooked perfectly as well. I had previously heard amazing things about the lobster bisque but our waiter said they discontinued it; apparently it was too labor intensive for the staff and not worth it based on how the demand was for it. Here's to hoping I'll be able to try it someday if they bring it back!If you're looking to treat yourself or celebrate something, and find yourself in Atlanta, go here. (More pics to come once my wifi starts working!)
Be the first to ReplyAs an Atlanta native for 60 years I have dined in many
As an Atlanta native for 60 years I have dined in many places and this was simply among one of my most memorable meals. It started with the way we were greeted. I had asked for a booth online and when we arrived I could see that the maitre d went to painstaking lengths to make this happen. We were a party of 2 and the booths accommodate 4 so I could tell it was not the norm to sit a party of 2 at the booths but none the less he made it happen in an unassuming way. It was our anniversary and the several staff members dropped by our table to wish us a happy anniversary. Out servers Michael and Mark were absolutely attentive to every detail. They were spot on with great recommendations. No rush here, we ate at a very relaxed pace but when we needed something they were on it immediately. The food was delicious-- bread service, oysters, beef Wellington (you must order 24 hours ahead), Parmesan potatoes, mushrooms, and delicious chocolate cake. The tea service was the most elegant I have ever had. Whoever manages this restaurant is a MASTER at instilling perfect customer service in the staff. We will be back for our next special occasion!

10/10 every single aspect of this spot!!! I was in town for work and sat alone at the bar - the service was incredible, staff was so accommodating. Ambiance lovely. My bone-in filet was one of the best I've ever had!!! Can't recommend this place enough
Be the first to ReplyWe had an amazing experience at Marcel from beginning to
We had an amazing experience at Marcel from beginning to end. The two hosts were extremely cordial and greeted us with a big smile. These ladies made sure we felt comfortable and welcomed. Regarding our food experience - They started us off with some delicious, cloud like, bread accompanied by some butter ricotta. Afterwards, we ate some cooked oysters and escargot that were a wonderful delicacy. We ate beef wellington that literally melted in your mouth. As a side we decided to eat potatoes that were soft and butery. Our waiter was Xavier - This gentleman is truly amazing. He made our dining experience an unforgettable one. He wholeheartedly loves what he does and has an extensive knowledge of the menu. He treated us so kind, was very personable and down to earth. I can't say enough good things about him. I'm giving it 4 stars because the crème brûlée was not the best. The sugar was so hard that I felt like I was eating shards of glass. If you want to have a true fine dining experience, Marcel's is the place to go.
Be the first to ReplyThis place was mega-awesome.
New off a flight to Atlanta, added to a friend's reservation last minute, & wasn't sure I was all wanting to eat a hunk of meat, and wondering if I'd like the place. And it was...Awe. Some. The vibe was dark, dramatic, old movie moody, with a touch of a seductive ruby red lipstick stain on a collar. Make sense? The staff was so great, I almost expected them to know all the good things about my life before I looked at the menu. Logo had a boxer on it which interested us as boxers, plus intrigued us all and made us question the staff about it. We got 2 waiters, who treated the 4 of us like royalty, cracked jokes, and asked us questions enough to make our experience even better. The simple mention Wine Library made me rub my neck in anticipation.Maitre D was a cute old man with a ponytail who made sure we were ok, asked some sweet nosey questions in a cute southern accent, and knew how to work our iPhone to take great pics of all of us grouped up at the table with him reflected in the mirror behind us for the memories.Bread came and was grrrreat, buttery with ricotta spread and prosciutto. I nodded like I knew life was gonna be good from then on. I had Oysters of The Moment. Only 2. Small but tasty, just a lil sumthing to guide me into the dining experience. Then Veal Parmesan which made me literally gasp. A huuuge hunk of meeeeat with glorious tomato sauce and just enough cheese on top, bone stickin out like, Come At Me Bro! I knew right off I wouldn't finish it, but I knew I did not want to share it. It cut like butter, I could used a spoon and the taste hit my lips like a dream. I also had roasted asparagus that made me believe I'd been cooking them wrong forever. Seasoned lightly and kissing on some butter, with a half lemon soft & ready to squeeze over it.Now, the second surprising thing was the simple yet glorious Marcel Reserve Burger. Dry-aged, caramelized onions and jus. Simple, right? Nah! I just had a simple slice of my friend's burger and I lost. my. effin. mind. The crispy outer edges of that meat, the soft buttery roll that hugged it, the caramelized onions that danced on it, the jus it sat on that made it glorrrrious... I renamed that burger 'That Burger Yoh!' cuz every time I talked about it, I said that, eyes wide like a crazy person. We finished with a perfectly baked layered chocolate cake & a Creme Brûlée that we hummed while eating.Wine matched every thing we ate, service made me wanna hug all the staff and then come back every day until they called the cops. All my paycheck would go to this place. I brought the veal I couldn't eat back home and put it in the oven for a couple minutes. My friend and I ate it and as I described my first time eating it, he ate it and his eyes rolled like mine did, amazed at the taste and texture. NYC couldn't handle this place, but if they ever open one in NYC I'd beeeeee there ASAP.
