Honolulu's Best Restaurants that are most frequently booked by customers of Nobu Honolulu
😍 5/5 - Never Disappointing

Having eaten at Nobu's West Hollywood restaurant, and living near their Tokyo location near Toranoman Hills, we couldn't resist visiting their Honolulu restaurant when we were in town.
The Nobu in Honolulu is located in the Ward Village area which is west of the Ala Moana shopping mall. The JAL pack trolley has a stop nearby, if you are driving you can park in the garage at the garage across the street in the entertainment complex, or in the Whole Foods building one block further up the street.
My wife called to make a reservation only to be told that the restaurant was booked up. We decided to walk over and see if we could get a table (we recently acquired a new condo across the way), and we found that they were able to seat us in the outdoor dining area. We had our 5-year-old daughter with us, but that was no problem for the restaurant (or for my daughter).
Like the other restaurants, the Honolulu Nobu is a stylish place with strong ambience. It is tastefully decorated (though I suppose that depends on your definition of "taste"), the staff are attentive (and attractive); there is more to the place than just the food.
Having lived in Tokyo for many years, and having eaten at some of the city's (and the world's) finest sushi restaurants, we are familiar with good food. You won't find anything that Nobu serves is like traditional Japanese cuisine, however, that is what makes it so good. We ordered an assortment of dishes, it would be better to call each dish an experience, and a pleasant one.
Prices are a tad high, but are more than fair for the quality of the food, and an environment that adds to the pleasure. I once had a $1200 course dinner (per person) in Kyoto, and while it was nice to be served in a private room with its own garden by pretty serving girls in kimonos, if I had to choose between it and Nobu, I would choose he latter.
