Paperback Brewing Co. Glendale Reviews from The Last Year
It's Always So Much Fun Here ‼.
. Great Vibe.. The Food Truck Was Wonderful .. Music Very In Sync With The Crowd
Had a pleasant time, dug the ambience.
Staff was friendly. The posters of paperbacks were cool.
On my top 3 list for breweries.
I love coming here on their trivia nights. The host is fun, the beer is great and the crowd is on point. It can get packed quickly but they have a lot of space downstairs and upstairs as options plus TVs to enjoy sports at the same time. The inside of the brewery is an actual brewery and you feel like you're transported into somewhere that's not Glendale. So far, I've tried their flights twice and their seltzer. I have yet to get an actual pint of one type of beer but I'll definitely be back to try that option too. Their beer is so fresh and I'd love to have them cater an event one day. Can't wait to be back for the office themed trivia night in April!
The service SUUUUUCCKKKS! Employees are rude.
The man and woman I spoke to when I went in didn't acknowledge me at all as I stood at the bar just waiting. They were in a conversation about what the girl had done over the weekend. I finally spoke up and asked what they recommend for me and I proceeded to explain the type of beers I like. The man said uhh just pick one and pointed to the monitor with the beer menu. So I asked ok can I try a taste first? He looked at the girl he was talking to and they did a stare down like "who is gonna do it?" She finally walked over to the tap and poured a taster for me and put it on the counter and walked away. I tasted it and I didn't really care for it but I felt intimidated at this point to not ask again to try a different one, so I just said OK I'll take a full glass and then the guy poured it for me put it on the counter, and again walked away so I just took the glass and found a seat and sat down. I wanted to buy some beer to take home but I didn't. I'm assuming this establishment probably makes more money selling to bars or stores or what not and don't care about a walk in like me.
Great brewery tucked away off San Fernando.
They usually have food trucks for bites & are dog friendly :) I liked the One Night With Nora best, but I love blondes ;) Check em out!
I tried both an IPA and a porter.
Both were very good. The brewery is located in a Quonset Hut and has a fun, welcoming vibe. Girl pouring the beers was gorgeous but very unfriendly. A food truck parked out front, Bun and Blanket, offered decent food.
This has been by far one of my favorite breweries.
I have been here two times and both times have not disappointed. From the beer to the service, you can go wrong. I have only come on Friday nights so I can't speak on how busy it gets on other days but even if it's busy, it still somehow has a relaxing vibe here. I have tried numerous beers here and haven't disliked one yet. The food from the food truck parked outside is worth the trip. The Cali burger along and Birria fries are def hits. I tried their Parmesan chicken sandwich and it was delicious. They seem to allow dogs as I saw dogs this past Friday. I love how they have seating both downstairs and upstairs. Will continue to come back to this place.
Questions: Do you like beer? Yes? Do you like amazing
Questions: Do you like beer? Yes? Do you like amazing smash burgers? Yes? Do you like seeing friendly doggos at a brewery? Yes? If so, Paperback is the brewery for you! I've been going there for the past year and a half, ever since I moved from Seattle. I almost always sit at the bar because IF you like talking to people, their bartenders are all just good people who enjoy a good conversation (at least when they're not slammed and need to be pouring beers). Paperback is one of the few breweries I've frequented where I consistently change up my beer of choice. Part of this is because the brewers at Paperback are constantly coming out with new beers, but the other part is that their beers are just consistently good regardless of the style. Trivia Night (I think on Wednesday) is a lot of fun and the space upstairs is really cool with a nice bar table shuffleboard set up. They also have a small patio with Cornhole set up and you can grab bags or shuffleboard discs from the bartenders upon arrival at no cost. I genuinely appreciate having found a "neighborhood brewery" that is this good as quickly as I did when moving to LA and always look forward to stopping by for a pint.

Great atmosphere for family and friends! The staff are friendly and the food and drinks are top shelf. I would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun evening.
Came to a party at Paperback Brewing in the upstairs area.
Really enjoyed the idea of the place. The good - cool interior and really interesting website. Looks like a place you can hang out in. The bad - service, service, service... Lackluster service will tank any business. Being that it was our first time there, we found the bartender and waitress to be less than welcoming. First of all, the website has all these graphic designs of cans with different beers. You see none of that when you arrive. They only have a few of the many beers advertised online Nothing comes in the cool cans you see on the website. Everything is dispensed from the few indiscriminate taps lining the wall. There are no real descriptions of the beers and no real assistance from anyone who works there, so it is clear the employees do not enjoy working there. It's such a shame because this place has a lot of potential that it will not live up to. This is not going to be that neighborhood bar where everyone is relaxed and knows your name. Looks good but no substance.
Openers: Catchy beer names, vending machines with Bunny+
Openers: Catchy beer names, vending machines with Bunny+ chainsaw stickers*, super fab seating, dogs allowed indoors, and a food truck that has great munchies. (*bring your own quarters!) Bookended on my trip to New Zealand, we stayed right around the bend from PB and stopped here twice. There are many, many places to have a beer in LA, but why mess with a good thing? Lots of rotating beer selections of all types, and a wicked cool atmosphere. You feel like you are in a "thing" without needing to be a local to fit in.
