RED WHITE RAMEN Boston Reviews from The Last Year
We already loved this place but the updated menu had even
We already loved this place but the updated menu had even more to enjoy!!! We loved it so much we had to come back the next day. The service was super friendly. The cashier checked to see if we had been there before so he could answer any questions we had. There were so many new items in the menu we had to try them all! There was the addition of "signature style" which involved injecting smoke into a dome that covered the ramen. This added a light smoky flavor to the ramen. Not essential but it definitely added a smoky touch to the food. Here's what we had over the two visits: -Mac n cheese -truffle Mac n cheese -Roasted Miso Avocado (8 pieces) -Yuzu Sesame Ramen +signature -Ginger Curry Ramen +signature -Original Miso Ramen +signature -Truffle Salt Miso Ramen +signature Come hungry and order as many things as you can! You will not regret it! There was a general consensus among the non-vegans that this ramen was sure to satisfy. The broth was rich & decadent and full of flavor. The protein they use is a combination of crumbled tofu and yuba (tofu skin) which was seasoned and prepared to deliver tons of umami goodness. The "sushi" was picture perfect and incredibly flavor-packed without being overwhelming. The topping was smooth and creamy with fried scallions for crunch. The plump sushi rice was infused with pops of pickled daikon radish which offered bursts of flavor as you work through each bite. If you are a fan of Japanese flavors, this place kicks everything up several notches. I can't wait to come back again next year when we're in town for Boston Marathon!
Now this place was a nice find.
I was looking for something different and unique. To my surprise I found it! It's a small comfy little restaurant. I ordered No 3. SIGNATURE Ramen Original Miso- Classic miso taste-soboro (vegan meat and tofu), corn, onion, arugula and garlic oil with added cheese Mac & Truffle And the Half 4 piece Spicy Roasted Miso Avocado Roll -Avocado,Pickled Relish , Crispy Onion, Sesame Seeds, Original Miso - Chili oil and powder The flavors were incredible! I'm so glad I chose the Signature Ramen as all the goodness was encapsulated in this dome. The Spicy Miso avocado roll was flavorful as well and the Mac and truffle was comforting. Of course it was plenty of food, enjoyed my moment here and brought the abundance back home to share with Ohana.
Fast & Filling
Neither one of us really eats ramen - like ever. However, we really appreciated this place as it was tasty, warm, and filling. Maybe it’s as good as true ramen. But honestly, who cares? It was good regardless. PS the restaurant is actually called Redwhite Boneless Ramen.

This is a must-visit for any ramen lover (or even if you don't like ramen)! Every time a friend comes to visit me in Boston, I suggest coming here for dinner. For the quality of food, the price is super reasonable. As a meat-eater, the first time I went here, I genuinely thought that they were lying about their dishes being vegan. The broth is so rich and flavorful, and the flavor is so complex in the most unique and delicious way. Despite loving dishes with meat, I would pick any of the ramens on the menu over a meat dish. I ordered the Original Miso the first time, and loved it. The signature with the smoky bubble is my favorite and my go-to. The smoky flavor isn't needed because the flavor is so great without it, but it's a unique addition that elevates the flavors (and looks really cool!). I really hope that there are plans to find a larger space in the works. Genuinely, my only complaint is that I wish it was more spacious and the wait time was shorter!
Delicious vegan ramen.
I got the original miso and it was very flavorful and tasty! The broth was super rich and yummy -- perfect for a blustery cold Boston day!
First time visit.
Food is amazing. Atmosphere is nicely intimate (dim lighting), but it is destroyed every now and then by overly loud beepers that they provide to let you know when your order is ready. [i.e. Please get rid of those or replace with quieter ones (like they have at other restaurants!) so I can give you that last star for the rating!] I had an awesome Miso ramen bowl and a friend had the Miso Avocado Sushi Rolls, which I tried and while not my thing, were excellent. Speed of preparation was very good (even getting some takeout at the end of our meal for another friend), but we were having a slightly late lunch. [I am not vegan, but it is a great place that your vegan friends will appreciate.]
Amazing vegan and vegetarian Ramen options on Newbury
Amazing vegan and vegetarian Ramen options on Newbury street. We came here for lunch and this small restaurant was packed. You order at the front of the line and find a table for your party. The food comes out pretty quickly too! The Mac and cheese is no go for me it felt too heavy on the onion crisps and it was very alright. We got the truffle and though truffle is good this Mac and cheese felt very overpowering when paired with the Ramen. The ramen however was delicious. We got the original and the yuzu ramen and both were fantastic. The yuzu was more on the citrusy side but the broth was still so yummy. Lots of toppings and a ton of options to choose from here!
Yuzu sesame ramen was soo good! Will be coming back :)
Yuzu sesame ramen was soo good! Will be coming back :) quick service, even if there is a line and no available tables.
Came here after a friend recommended this vegan ramen spot
Came here after a friend recommended this vegan ramen spot on Newbury St! Despite it being a smaller restaurant, they have plenty of seating for groups of 1 to 4 people. I didn't know that this isn't the standard sit down restaurant where you get seated and served so I was a confused at first when I walked in. They took my order at the front counter, gave me a buzzer, and invited me to find my own seat. Loved the ambience- dimly lit and upbeat music! Signature red hot miso (8.5/10): Big portion and plenty of toppings. The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the broth was very rich and flavorful despite it being boneless broth. However, if you can't handle spice, I wouldn't recommend this one since it was pretty spicy. The smoke was a lovely surprise and cool experience!

I think it's a great vegan alternative, but if you aren't a vegan or vegetarian I would simply stick with regular ramen since it is better...
Flavorful ramen, and the avocado miso roll is a must have.

Definitely a place we will return! The broth is extremely flavorful. This is my first time eating vegan ramen and I had my share of doubts. Pleasantly surprised, I finished the entire plate in no time (whereas normally I would had leftovers). I took off 1 star because the $1 extra for the "smoke" was too gimmicky. Just keep up the great work with the ramen itself is more than enough. I'd rather pay the extra dollar for extra topping than the "smoke" effect.

I saw this place (yay vegan ramen!) ordered the Red Hot Miso through Uber eats, excited to try something new for a quick dinner. The ramen was so flavorful! I was worried since it was vegan and doesn't use any animal products that the flavor would be lacking, but it's a good balance between umami, savory, and spicy. I would definitely order this again, but get more toppings next time; I could have used more tofu/"meat"! A special shout out for their food delivery system - the noodles are kept separate from the broth, keeping the noodles from getting soggy. I was so hungry that I didn't get a chance to take a pic before I devoured it!
Really popular ramen place so be prepared to wait! Overall
Really popular ramen place so be prepared to wait! Overall positive experience. Ramen very authentic, I however was not a fan of the soy meat. I wish tofu could have come separate. Would eat here again!
Original miso ramen, was alright but didn't really feel
Original miso ramen, was alright but didn't really feel like ramen? Arugula was weird. Also tried the yuzu sesame broth but was way too yuzu
the spicy ramen was delicious.
it was not too spicy just right. it was great food. the service was quick and they were very nice. The restaurant was clean and the lighting was perfect.

Located on Newbury St, it was convenient to check it out after shopping! Very easy to order-- you order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to let you know when it's ready to bring the tray of food to the table to eat. There's no servers, very much so a take out vibe. It is kind of dark lighting in there but overall, a chill spot. The ramen that I tried was the red hot miso. The broth is super thick compared to most ramen spots in Boston. I was not the biggest fan of the thick broth, as it continued to thicken it felt like. It was okay... not sure if I would come back because the thick broth is not something I personally enjoyed.
We are not vegan, we decided to try based on reviews.
We were not disappointed. This was amazing food.

Never thought Vegan Ramen would taste this good! The consistency of their Ramen is perfect! They also cater to different spice levels. The Ginger Curry Ramen was our absolute favourite They also offer appetizers and soft drinks. The dining area is a little small and they are usually packed, so plan accordingly
