STK Steakhouse Orlando Reviews from The Last Year
Average food at best, not worth the price point
Dined here for a late dinner. The food was okay and nothing more. We had no service issues. The music was very loud. Our table was right under a speaker so it was very difficult to hear the people speak at our own table. The steaks were no where near being on par with a premium steakhouse. I have had far better for less money. We ordered a couple of Porterhouse steaks and while not bad at all, they worth not worthy of a $125 price tag. The sides were okay and large enough for sharing. The service was attentive and friendly. While we don’t feel like we wasted an appetite here, I doubt we will be returning and don’t see myself recommending. There are too many high end steakhouse that do a better job with a better product. We got out of here at just under $800 for a party of five.
Family dinner
We made a reservation for dinner at 7:30 pm, the waitress who served us had a very difficult pronunciation to understand, she realized that English was not our native language, but communication was very complicated. The meats were really good, we ordered steaks, but they came without any side dishes, that is, everything had to be ordered extra, we thought the sizes were small for the US standard. Our bill was more than 500 USD, 4 adults without alcoholic drinks, that is, in our opinion, very expensive.
Pretentious. Overated. Avoid.
Heard good things so hit this spot for Happy Hour… which turned into ‘Sad Hour’. Worst place I’ve eaten in the whole trip. Servers were pretentious, we were point blank ignored at times, the food didn’t save the experience with cold tepid dishes. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Disappointed
Over priced food, poor service, load music. Wouldn’t recommend and would never visit again. We were sat at a table and had to request napkins, bread arrived after the entree and steak knife wasn’t provided. Lots of staff, but no attention to detail.
Worst premium Steakhouse experience in years! Don’t throw your money away, go next door to the Edison instead!
Ordered a Prime Rib for $69 and received two 1/4" thick pieces of fatty grizzle layered on top of each other. Absolutely disgusted, received nothing in the way of consideration from the restaurant manager on duty, other than him saying that corporate is in transition to change the type of cut. We spent $215 for one glass of wine for each of us, at $20 eaxh and a side of potatoes was $19 which had a spicy jalapeño topping that wasn't noted on the menu. I had far better Prine Rib for 1/3 of the price at fine dining establishments. This place can't hold a candle to steak places like Ruth Chris or Capital Grill. Don't waste your money!!
STunK
It's been a minute.... I felt the need to write about this one. Wow... Don't really know how to tell you this, but, this place is highly overpriced for a wanna be club atmosphere steakhouse. We went with friends (3 couples) and we could not hear the server or ourselves because the music was so damn loud. We are having dinner at a premium and I can't hear my friend from the other side of the table. Totally totally asinine. I ordered the fish and chips... $66 Fish was cold. Did I complain about it... No. Why would I? By the time the server came back to check on us 5 minutes had already passed. Of course... The service, for the price being charged, should be impeccable. If someone had checked on us in a timely manner, two minutes or one or two bites into the dish I might have sent it back. Anyway..... Super OVER priced and certainly not worth a return. Sorry.
A disappointing visit to STK Orlando Disney Springs
Visited STK Orlando Disney Springs. This was not to expectation. Inside this restaurant the settings were lavish and the staff polite and welcoming. We were seated at the rear of the restaurant. It’s quite cool in there so bring an extra jersey or dress a little warmer. My wife ordered the fish and chips and I ordered the 10 oz filet steak and truffle fries. The chips and fries were the same but for the truffle seasoning. For my starter I had a corn pudding and for dessert I had the apple pie. Let me tell you what I did enjoy in the meal, the apple pie. The rest was average at best and whilst I do realise this is only an opinion and our perception I still struggle to see the high standard compared to value. My wife’s fish and chips was bland and the fish wasn’t the flaky white fillet finish I would expect for this price. The steak was an ok standard, the truffle fries were overwhelmed with garlic. This was simply disappointing from our experience point of view. I have to say value was overall poor.
Don't waste your time and money. Better places in Disney Springs.
Horrible experience spent $365.00 on an hour wait for main course and a waiter who can't handle multiple tables. Check #1399 & #2709 with Natali upstairs by the bar. I tried to do the private email review about your experience instead of a public review but received no response... seems like they really don't care about their customers experience. Save your money and go somewhere better Council Oaks, Maggiano's, The Boathouse etc... not worth the money or experience.
Avoid this place it was awful : (
I am sorry to say the food was completely awful. It was our first and last visit. I don't usually leave reviews but it was that bad. We got apps at happy hour. The popcorn chicken was absolutely disgusting. It literally appeared to be the trash pieces left over from day before. It was scraps of poor pieces of meat in completely random shapes of all sizes. The meatballs were so dry it was hard to eat. I didn't finish it was so dry. And the beef tartar uhm . . where was it hiding. You got three nachos with a few specks. You couldn't see or taste it. It was by far one of the worst food experiences we have ever had. There are too many great places to spend money at STK.
Great place !
We decided last minute to come here on our last night in Disney Springs. It wasn’t that busy surprisingly but sat inside and the service was very good. The food is great but far from cheap, a meal for 2 with couple drinks was over 400 dollars but enjoyed it still.
We came here for lunch while taking a walk in Disney
We came here for lunch while taking a walk in Disney Springs. We all got the brunch special, a burger with egg, bacon, and cheese. The burger was good, but cannot be customized to temperature. All the burgers stressed cooked well done, even though we asked for medium. It's still a great lunch deal for only $10. The decor was pretty with lots of pink flowers. Overall it was a nice place to stop for lunch.
First time at Disney Springs and STK and I was NOT
First time at Disney Springs and STK and I was NOT disappointed. The food was perfection and the service was even better. We had the BEST espresso martinis, recommended by our very knowledgeable waiter Carlos. We had our martinis the "Carlos Way" and I honestly don't know if I could have it any other way. 10/10 will come again.
Do not go
Terrible service! The food was good, not great. The hostess and servers are terrible. I couldn’t believe this was a high end steakhouse. I would not return here if the meal was free.
I'm giving 4 stars because the lunch is a great deal.
The burger and fries were very tasty. And for $9.99, it's a good value. At lunch they also offer a 6 oz filet and salad for $19.99. It's a good deal but be ready that this doesn't seem to be the same type of filet you would get with dinner. While it was decent, there was not much seasoning and ours was over cooked. The rest of the lunch menu is extremely expensive. Such as $26 for a lunch ceaser salad. The other steaks were upwards of $40 and a chicken sandwich with fries was close to $30. Service was decent, not great. You could tell that he was aware people were here for the "reasonable lunch" and didn't much go out of his way to be helpful or friendly.
Memorable
Ok, being a resident of Florida for 30 years I don’t go to tourist spots, but I will be going back to stk. Gonzo you were amazing, you made me feel like I was eating at your house. Bradley, Joey, Eric, Sean and all the team members i missed thank you so much. The ambiance of the place is spectacular. The lamb chops were so perfect and tender. The ribeye was seasoned perfectly and cooked to the perfect temp. Now I usually sit at the bar, but with such great servers I will be conflicted on my next visit. You have one over customers for life! Thank you thank you thank you, when I speak of STK I will speak of the excellent service and amazing food. What a memorable night.
Overpriced
Tried this restaurant as we liked the look of the menu. Starters were ok but was very disappointed with mains. Both of us ordered rib eye steak to be medium. Mine was just about medium but my partners was more towards rare and had blood still running from it. I would guess it hadn’t been rested enough. But the worst thing was that everything was so heavily salted that it ruined the taste. It was not just the steaks but the sides as well. This ruined the taste of everything. The bill came to over $400 for two starters, two mains and two glasses of wine and might have been just about ok if the food had been alright but was really overpriced for what it was. I will not be going back and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone else.
Go for happy hour! PJ was the best server! He was so quick
Go for happy hour! PJ was the best server! He was so quick and attentive. Loved the steak frites!
Don’t Bother
Staff & atmosphere no existent . My partner and I arrived a few minutes late for our reservation - due to an issue with parking , when we arrived I apologised and advised of my name, the host who checked us in appeared ( I can only explain as) dead inside. She pointed to the desk behind her and told us (not ask) walk in, we then had to relay the same information to the next desk- how pointless! We were guided to our table - weather was beautiful this day, however it was extremely hot and the sun was directly on the table we were issued, I asked if we could move to the one next to ours as it was shaded, the (let’s call her) second host seemed annoyed by our request and made us walk back to desk 2 to change the table. At this point, it would have made sense to seat us at the shaded table and she could have made the changes for us, so we were walked around like lost sheep…. I’ll keep the rest brief Food was ok, but not worth the prices - way over priced in my opinion. Plus food choices not available and it was only 5pm - waiter had no clue The ambience is none existent - some guy singing so loud you couldn’t talk to one another until he had a break - what a joke. Waiters everywhere but nowhere to be seen to offer drinks and assistance when needed. They also only seemed to be able to help if they were your assigned waiter/waitress…. They also had no personality and their vibe seemed agitated and not wanting to be there. Please DON’T bother with this restaurant- go to the fish and chips around the corner - cheaper and staff super helpful. STK management if reading this, get yourself down the this restaurant and see for yourself- I guess sadly in a nutshell the name STK sells the product and they don’t need to push for quality and appearances as for every 5 negative reviews the next lot of holiday makers are passing through!
Do not go here unless you enjoy burning money.
Food is average at best considering price. Unless you go for the 9.99 burger brunch special. Almost $30 a meal during brunch. Drinks were awful, bottom shelf tequila was used in the tequila sunrise and it was $22. Price gouging at its best here. The 2 stars are from the staff, they were nice and friendly.
Went here to celebrate my 42nd birthday while on a work
Went here to celebrate my 42nd birthday while on a work trip. The ambiance was nice and the staff was welcoming. Our waitress was very knowledgeable (and honest) about the food selections and gave great recommendations. We had been snacking throughout the day so opted out of appetizers this time. Here's what we ordered: - Braised Beef Short Rib: creamed potatoes - roasted pepper relish - crispy shallots - red wine glaze - Bone-in Filet w/ Wagyu Umami butter and STK Zingy Rub - Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes w/ parmesan crust - Cucumber Stiletto: grey goose le citron vodka - st~germain - muddled cucumber & mint - Perfect Margarita: milagro silver tequila - cointreau - fresh lime The short rib was cooked to perfection and the red wine glazes was very flavorful...just enough kick without seeming too salty. The steak was cooked perfectly and the butter and dry rub was the icing on the cake. We ordered the mashed potatoes as loaded and they were the perfect. This location is located in the Disney area so be prepared to walk and deal with crowds. STK can be hit or miss depending on the location. This location is definitely a hit and I'd definitely recommend it anyone in the area. (My only complaint is the waitress knew I was celebrating my bday and didn't offer a dessert as others had received. Not a huge deal bc I don't like cheesecake, but the offer would've been appreciated.)
Fine experience.
Appetizers, happy hour and sides were all great. But disappointingly, the main steak (which we splurged on and got waygu) was very average!
A Big Fat Thumbs Down
Okay, here’s the deal… if a restaurant is going out of the way to ask about food allergies, then I’m expecting some sort of follow up with the wait staff, cooks, etc. Nope. Nothing. We stopped in for happy hour and were immediately asked about food allergies. We said yes, our daughter has a tree nut and gluten allergy. No problem. We were seated several minutes later and repeated same allergies to our first waiter. He said he would relay that information to the executive chef. We had waiter #2 bring our food and luckily I asked if the items we ordered were gluten and tree nut free. He said no. All 3 things had been breaded in flour or contained a flour tortilla. We then had to order the steak and frites so our daughter had something to eat. We had a 3rd waiter come back to clear plates and ask if we wanted anything else. We ordered another steak and frites for our daughter. This is all happy hour food, so use your imagination on how small these food items could possibly be. The food was actually good for being so mini sized. We were seated in the sun. I used my left hand to shield the sun, my daughter had to face away from my husband to avoid the sun in her eyes. A nice couple seated near us offered to drag a big umbrella over, but it would have been too complicated. I finally asked a passing waitress if we could get our check as we had not seen waiters #1-3 in a while. She came back with our check within a few minutes. As I was paying, someone else came to refill our water glasses. A little too late at that point. Beyond disappointed with this place. Would definitely NOT recommend this restaurant.
Definitely expensive and on the higher end for a meal, but
Definitely expensive and on the higher end for a meal, but it was totally worth it. I had the filet with the A5 Wagyu butter and it was delicious. They melt the butter with a torch table side. Definitely a good change of pace from some of the other Disney restaurants in the area.
Whatever STK is paying Bradley Mingo.
..it needs to be double! This guy knows his burbon, knows his steaks, is polite, and gave us an amazing experience. App Calamari- perfect, not chewy, and great sauces Drinks Mules- very good. Lots of lime. Great glasses Old fashioned- the vanilla twist was nice Sides Brussels sprouts- best I've ever had Lobster Mac- speechless Dessert Cookie- absolutely amazing!
Loud, poor food and over priced.
When we were seated we were told that STK was a fine dining experience. The initial impressions weren’t that of a fine dining experience as there was loud music playing and the noise of other diners made it feel more like a diner. The food came out 45 minutes after ordering and had an overpowering taste of salt and pepper. The fillet steak was cooked how I asked for however when all you taste is salt it was horrid. Potatoes also just tasted of too much salt. All in all for the cost it was very disappointing. I’ve had better meals at the Cheesecake Factory.
I spent a week at Walt Disney World, and I spent a night
I spent a week at Walt Disney World, and I spent a night walking around in Disney Springs. STK is at a convenience spot inside of Disney Springs. Once I walked in, I was greeted and got helped to get a table. They had during happy hour until 6:30pm that day. Inside of Disney World, nothing is cheap, but STK gets serious HH. I got the filet and prawn, ahi tuna taco, and the calamari. Every single dish was very tasty. It reminded me why it worth to pay $$$$ for a steak! The HH red wine was a serious red wine choice too. The service was good, attentive, and professional. The vibe in Disney Springs of coz was good. It maybe my best meal of my whole trip in Disney.
Lobster made me sick as a dog.
I NEVER get physically sick from food but this place did it. I knew the lobster was not sweet like it should have been but it didn’t taste bad. The steak was wonderful. I was not back at my resort very long when it decided it did not & was not going to stay in my stomach. For a meal with no sides, just steak & lobster with no sides for $100 I truly expected better. I won’t be back.
What a joke!
We went for happy hour and paid an enormous amount $60Cdn for one drink and 3 appetizers. The appetizers were pathetic - we nearly laughed at the waitress- she had described the steak frites appetizer with bernaise sauce like as if it would be a reasonable portion - it was a joke - two fries underneath the smallest piece of meat you’ve ever seen. We won’t be back - what a stupid thing for a restaurant to do - rip us off and think we’ll be back for a meal another time? I don’t think so.
Overpriced. Overrated.
Do NOT waste your money or time here. I will say, the environment was fun and lively, but that’s about the only compliment I have. I Was very optimistic after reading reviews.. however was NOT the case. My husbands steak had little to no pink, almost well done after he ordered it medium. I ordered the Lobster linguine & the waiter informed me it had a Cajun spice to it, and after I went to change my order he informed me the staff could hold the Cajun spice blend no issue. It was served to me with the Cajun blend. Water was refilled once during the meal after leaving us with empty glasses until after our meal was delivered. Almost $200 and an absolute waste.
STK is an awful place don’t go! Stay away and run fast!
This was a a terrible experience! The waiters were rude, obnoxious, and arrogant! We asked the manager to intervene and he did nothing! Awful Awful and massively expensive for no reason.
