The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch Avon Reviews from The Last Year
Great time and great service.
I highly recommend adventuring the slopes and enjoying all of the 5 star amenities they have to offer.
Most of the staff (especially the ski locker room,
Most of the staff (especially the ski locker room, restaurant, and spa employees) are amazing. However, for how much this place costs, its not worth it. I asked cleaning service to come and replace the towels, and it took three times for them to come. When they did, they dropped off three towels that had coffee stains and were questionably clean, and never took the old ones. Some of the employees had stand-off ish demeanors, and were not very inviting. Others were amazing, but a few of them seemed miserable and therefore made the trip less enjoyable. For a "luxury" hotel, you need to spell everything out for them. Don't expect luxury service
First of all, let me say that this is one of the most
First of all, let me say that this is one of the most beautiful resorts I have been to in Colorado. I was very impressed at the gorgeous fireplace crystal chandelier upon entrance. Valet is free if you are going to dine there. If you are going to park for skiing. It is $500 per day. You should definitely know that before you go. They have several restaurants, a coffee shop, a members lodge, and an owners members lodge. The pool is fantastic, and the skin looks even better. The outdoor menus are a little limited. Also, while we were outside dining, we couldn't enjoy it because they were smoking meat. When I say smoking, I mean literally billowing into the courtyard. A lot of guests got up and left. It was very unpleasant. Also, the DJ was great but the music was so loud I felt like I was in a circus. Not what I would expect at the Ritz, to be honest. I would definitely go back, mainly because the location is one of the best in Colorado. The four stars is because of the smoke and limited menu options.
It's good.
It's just very, very expensive! We stayed 1 night on our last night in this trip, ~98k points booked with 85k free night certificate + top-off. We have Titanium status. Much better than the Park Hyatt in Beaver Creek. We got upgraded to a residential suite which was going for $2k/night. Shower pressure was good, and the suite had a full kitchen + 2 fireplaces. So much space! Their restaurant WYLD had better much better food, service, and ambiance for similar prices vs 8100 at the Park Hyatt, not surprised WYLD is Michelin guide. Breakfast was not included unfortunately since it's not a benefit at most RCs, but we had breakfast at WYLD and it was pretty good. Just... expensive all-around. Food/drinks in the Great Room were also nice, and the ambiance is so cozy and warm. There's a semi-exclusive ski lift in the back, since parking at the hotel was $500 if not staying there. Though, it seemed it was still accessible via lift or a shuttle from elsewhere, but the crowd felt much smaller than at Beaver Creek. We purchased a Ritz Carlton duck (it holds 2 skis) at the spa, and they also had a Ritz Carlton dog plushie. Love it! I was nervous about the cancellation policy of 60 days and a no-show charge of $1600 (the cash rate of our booking), even though it's on points. But things worked out. But heads up that this is a thing to be concerned about. A great experience overall but perhaps not optimal in value. But if you have the points or want to splurge a bit, stay here!
$64 for a Burger and fries.
..wow! Sign me up! $50 Nachos....what a great deal...NOT. I literally never do this (literally never). But this place is ridiculous. The Ritz can put whatever price point they want on any menu item because they know people have no other choice. Or so they think. Todays the day I stand up to this place and say NO MORE! I stood up on my table, began screaming and tried to start a revolt, but to no avail. I was tackled by 3 security guards and maced in my mouth. But I will not be silenced. The late great Martin Luther King once said, "Survive and advance". Or at least I think it was him. I'm no stranger to adversity and will find a way to infiltrate and take down the "big bad" Ritz Carlton. (By the way, if you know Mohammad Fayeds number please comment below).
Wow, I never thought I would leave a review like this.
You always expect 5 service at the Ritz. Today just wasn't their day I guess? Our drinks took 30 minutes to arrive after 15 minutes at our table before we ordered. Our food ticket was messed up and it's made my stomach upset. But the atmosphere and stranger conversations carried the wait for our group. The valet was on point! Unfortunately, sometimes your experience doesn't match the anticipation and expectations.
I love me a Ritz, and this is no difference.
I tried to convince the hubby years ago when we retired to just buy a hotel room in the Ritz and we could call it a day, then when he said no I said 'maybe I should just go!' and this has turned into our yearly Ritz adventures around the world ((perks of being members)). I spend all day on the mountain during season, lady has to keep her shape. But I don't just hang out in the room when I'm not. The spa is phenomenal, 'Grotto Circuit' was truly body changing. The facility itself is worth just checking out and booking a service, trust me - TREAT YOURSELF! Hubby and I take a drink and meet friends in the Great Room and tend to spend hours there, truly cozy and I die for the architecture (log style gone five star spectacular). When you in this altitude only one of their martinis sends you to the moon. Only complaint is everything shuts down at 10pm, and even this old gal needs a little more time to enjoy her amenities. Oh we'll be back. But first your St. Thomas residences for a season.
What an amazing weekend at this hotel! Beautiful property
What an amazing weekend at this hotel! Beautiful property with amazing amenities! The outdoor pool is beautiful and nestled with trees and mountains around. The gym and spa are great for a full day! The sushi restaurant is delicious and the live music during happy hour with some truffle fries is the way to go! Staff are all really helpful and each room has wonderful Mountain Views! Highly recommend!
The Men's Spa was dynamic.
The experience and cleanliness of the facility was remarkable. The jacuzzi, steam room, cold plunge "Grotto Circuit" was rejuvenating & reinvigorating. Looking forward to visiting again for just for it in the future.
A beautiful hotel at the top of the mountain! Excellent

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal
So easy and had a prime time which I can never seem to get on normal res apps. So worth it
Got impossible NYC res

Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.

LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
