4/5 stars because of the NO BAG POLICY what an absolute
4/5 stars because of the NO BAG POLICY what an absolute pain in the butt. So now I have to wear an outfit with large and deep pockets. How else am I going to bring in my lip gloss, money, and phone? We've only been here for Kings basketball games. Parking in the parking structure across the street is convenient enough. You can eat or get a Jamba Juice or Ice Cream before going into the arena or you can wait until you get into the arena and eat. There are alot of choices!
I've been here a few times for concerts but I hadn't had
I've been here a few times for concerts but I hadn't had the pleasure to see a basketball game here until recently. My husband and I are Golden State fans, but I support the Kings as well as I was born and raised in Sacramento. My husband surprised me with a Kings Game on Sunday and I didn't even know until morning of, so it was quite the adventure. I hadn't been to Golden 1 in the day time other than to see a monster truck show some years ago, but it really is a great arena. The kings fans are amazing. The whole atmosphere was great. I always enjoy having dinner at Yard House and then the short walk to the arena. Security has always been super nice and the sound is great. I'm excited for the concerts I've booked this summer already and looking forward to graduation from CSUS.
Very clean hotel with great service.
This hotel exceeded my expectations. Very easy to use Valet, great service checking in, very clean rooms and comfortable to sleep. Great location as well, a lot if places to choose from. Very welcoming experience.
Great hotel - highly recommend!
This is a great hotel. Love the jazz theme! Restaurant food was terrific. 6th floor rooftop bar was fun, great vibe, great drinks, great views. The gym was clean and full of the right equipment and amenities. Starbucks is a 60 second walk. The room and bathroom were beautiful. Beds and pillows so comfortable! Fridge, coffee maker, plenty of kcups. The valet folks and front desk helped us avoid parade traffic. They sent up additional amenities as soon as we requested them. So nice during check in and check out. Everyone seemed genuinely happy there!I usually stay at high end hotels and this fits right in! Looking forward to visiting other centric Hyatts! I never write reviews but they deserved the positive feedback.
I've been to Golden 1 for all types of events - basketball
I've been to Golden 1 for all types of events - basketball games, concerts, Disney on Ice, etc. and I usually always enjoy my time here. The arena is very modern and up to date with lots of places to eat and check out. We love getting to the arena early and walking around before the show starts. There's not a bad seat in the house, but with that being said - I hate sitting in their nosebleeds sections. I think the stairs are too steep and there are no cup holders! Like what....? I saw Pink here recently and the opening act was very hard to enjoy because of sound - it was very loud, could not make out a lot of what they were singing. I don't think Golden 1 is great for certain types of music - sounds much better outside when the sounds aren't bouncing off the walls. Disney on Ice is okay here too as long as you don't sit in the black chairs on the floor - can't see over people because they aren't staggered. Sporting events are good here though - we recently went to see a Kings game (even though my family are Warriors fans) and had a great time. I love the surrounding DOCO area as well - lots of places to eat and shop at! I love the lawn area in front of the arena and just the other all vibes!
Beautiful modern property with an excellent service staff.
The property is very clean and modern. You are immediately greeted by friendly helpful staff. All my needs were met enthusiastically and immediately. I highly recommend this hotel. The food was also delicious.
NIce hotel with cool design
I really enjoyed this hotel. I was greeted with a welcome drink, had a stylish room, and received excellent service. The location right downtown near Golden 1 center was super convenient too. I would gladly stay here again.
They can do better
Room was clean. Coffee pot was broken and no resolution was given by staff. Charged for water that was not consumed. Do not use express check-in or Check-out, you can't dispute anything that add to your bill or change on your reservation.
I like this place but for graduation purses are not allowed
I like this place but for graduation purses are not allowed it's ridiculous there's too much limitations and it is a long line to drop off and to pick up your purse Is clear bag allowed if so what size
Nice venue located in downtown Sacramento, just steps away
Nice venue located in downtown Sacramento, just steps away from the State Capitol. Was looking forward to this visit as we had Madonna Celebration Tour tickets! Venue is in a convenient location, surrounded by restaurants and retail...a great opportunity to dine before or after a show/game. The exterior building design sorta blends in to the area (it doesn't stand out)...we actually arrived and didn't know it...maybe we were too excited?!?!?! Interior is very well-kept and modern with a nostalgic feel. Seems that they had local food options that was very popular. Staff was very friendly and welcoming...not sure if it was because of the upgraded ticket package/experience we had or if they are always this was but "shout out" to them for starting our evening off right. Enthusiasm and utmost hospitality was evident here. Was ushered to a lounge area with light eats and Madonna music playing. Mingled with other fans and had some great photo ops. Once inside the actual arena floor area, it seemed very cozy and intimate considering 17,000 concert capacity. Seating area ushers were quite professional and let us know about the amenities (bar/lounge/restroom) specifically for our area. Also witnessed a minor medical emergency that the staff handled with sensitivity and professionalism. Not sure if we'll plan to ever visit this venue again but it was a very pleasant experience and Sacto is lucky to have it!
Exceptional staff and service.
I had a very good time at the Hyatt Centric. Perfect location for the concert at The Golden 1 stadium. Easy check in, great staff, fast room service (bottle of champagne delivers to my room in 10 minutes. Great breakfast and service.
Went through the metal detector at Madonna show and my belt
Went through the metal detector at Madonna show and my belt went off. The stones were sawed off. They told me I couldn't get it back. Talk about the disrespect and arrogance. Never will I ever come back to this arena however you allow pot smokers in. The entire place was lit up. Double standard. I hate Golden One . Nothing but thieves. A madonna fan.
Good stay, but check your bill for $5 each water bottle consumption
The hotel was nice, quiet and clean. Check your bill (after you leave) because they tacked on two $5 water bottle charges (highway robbery at that if they were actually consumed). I never had any in my room to begin with. I think it's dirty to tack on charges to inflate the bill. It has that feel. $5 for a bottle of water is insane as it is, then to charge a guy for two when he didn't use any is theft in my thoughts.
N/A
There was an error with my initial booking. I called the front staff and a refund was applied. However, was not received until 30 days after. I spoke with another member and they processed as I was on the line. Frustrated at that time. I still wanted to rebook. The manager advised he give me a discount on my stay. Unfortunately this did not happen. He just placed me in a room to where the rates were lower for that weekend. My sister and husband made last minute reservations and they had the same room rate as we did. So no discount. They also advised a complimentary drink was on the hotel. They failed to do this as well advising me and my husband that there were no additional charges. Yesterday I seen a charge from Hyatt centric for a total of $300. After I was advised the room rate would be $189. Due to this matter I will no longer recommend or stay at the Hyatt centric of Downtown.
Motion sensor lights in room are obnoxious!
My stay here was just okay, mostly because of the truly obnoxious motion sensor lights in the rooms. The rooms have a large motion sensor on the ceiling above the bed that flashes a green light (really great for when you're trying to sleep). This motion sensor can come in handy when you get up to use the bathroom at night and it turns on the foot lights for you. The motion sensor becomes obnoxious when you're sitting in your room and the sensor decides to switch off all the lights because it didn't sense enough movement. The motion sensor can become terrifying when you wake up at 3 am to the lights being on and then have concerns that someone or something as set the motion sensor off while you were sleeping! They also have a motion sensor in the gym- and it will turn off on you while you're working out- so dangerous! Your room comes with 2 Fiji water bottles that are not marked as being $5 each- but they are, so don't drink them unless you want to get charged. The soap that they give you in the room to wash your hands with is so thin and tiny- I've never had such a fragile bar of soap at a hotel before. I didn't really feel like I could get my hands clean with it. The water pressure in the shower was awful, and it took about 8 mins every night for me to get the hot water started. The thermostat in my room was impossible to control. I would think I moved the temperature in a particular direction, but it would keep changing back to random temperatures and I just gave up. And when requesting a room here- be sure to ask for a room on the opposite side of the hotel from the dumpsters- I heard the trash get picked up around 6 am every morning and it was loud! I did enjoy the free water in the lobby area- and it is located in a very nice spot and has a good restaurant attached to it. The staff was also really nice! But the motion sensor lights need to go!
This place is TRASH.
First, the PA system broke and back up system is worthless. POWER OUTAGE TWICE! Second, due to power issues the second screen or primary screen is out!
Great venue! Seats don't offer a bunch of leg room, but the
Great venue! Seats don't offer a bunch of leg room, but the arena makes up for it with the great sound and lights. Nice food and drink options, all fairly pricey but that's standard for sports events these days. Section 110 for PBR was a blast. Long lines for security and drinks but they move quickly. Bathrooms always available with little to no line. For local reviews or travel content you can find us on most socials @sunsetourist
The seating is not designed for the fans.
It is so tight that if you need to use the restroom or get a drink everyone in your row has to stand up so you can get out. And now there is a no cigarettes or lighters in your bag rule. Lame.
LOVEEEEEEE HAVING GOLDEN 1 CENTER IN DOWNTOWN SACRAMENTO
LOVEEEEEEE HAVING GOLDEN 1 CENTER IN DOWNTOWN SACRAMENTO and not it Natomas. The entrance line usually goes somewhat fast although I am super annoyed that they changed the bag policies. I enjoy coming here for Kings games, comedy shows and concerts. I like the food selection and although the drinks are expensive compared to what you actually receive, I understand that it comes with the territory. Parking is not bad at all and getting out after games goes by quickly.
Downtown Visit.
Check out Hyatt Downtown Centric. Lots to do and great if you have event at the Golden 1. Loved the breakfast and would like to come back and try out dinner. I like the location and unique decorations.
